I have a 97 GSX with a six bolt swap that I recently purchased and it has no cold start feature. The guy I bought the car from said that he removed the bottom half of the throttle body and just blocked it cause the sensor was going and causing irratic idle. I want to get a hole new one and wondering what year I need so I can just plug it in and bolt it up? Thanks Doug

P.S here is the thread where the previous owner talks about removing it.

Either a 1G ('91-'94) or 2G will bolt up fine, assuming the 6 bolt is a '91-'92. If you want the exact one that's already on there, post up a picture and someone can tell you whether its a 1G or 2G.

If you don't have a camera. 2G's have 3 vacuum nipples facing the drivers side of the car. 1G's have 4 nipples facing the passenger side one of which is at a 45* angle towards the firewall.

It depends on how the TPS and IPS were wires in the swap. I like using the 2G TPS soi that you don't have to change the wiring or adjustmen procedure of the IPS.
That leaves the 1G IPS acting only as the throttle stop screw. If your IPS is wired up then you can use the 93 TB and sensors out of the box. Otherwise you'll need to swap the 2G TPS over to the TB.
