So I decided to get one of these two WEIGHTED knobs after doing some research. They are the Razo RA122 and RA68a.

RA122: (450 grams) ~$45

I do agree with that. Im just thinking in winter I dont want my hands to freeze since it's metal, while the other one is red stitched leather.

Oh very good counterpoint, well have you ever though about purchasing yourself a nice pair of leather winter/driving gloves? Those feel nice against metal shifts along with good grip on the steering wheel. I like the weighted shifters I had the Razo RA96 Car Mate U.S.A. / RAZO Shift Knobs GT Advance on my Gst Spyder and I liked it a lot.

Yeah I think so too. I just like the other one because it looks stockish.

The 122 looks like the Greddy counter-weight shift knob that I have. It feels really good in the hand, and honestly it doesn't get too bad in the cold weather. The hot weather is another story. In direct sunshine for more than an hour, the thing is untouchable. I cover it with my hat if I'm not going to be driving for a while.

Hmm thanks for the suggestion. Do you know why or what car this oem knob was made?

Very cool link. Thanks! I'll keep this one in mind. Do you know of the best place to find one shipped?

My stealership usually jacks prices way the hell past what others would charge...

Oddly enough, I can't find any US car this was made for. Although if you look up the part number in CAPS it says it's for 98-99 GSX's and turbo Spyder's, I tried a few vin numbers (99 GSX, 99 Spyder GST, and 98 GSX) and they all came up with a different part number (MB962959). When you look up the shift knob part numbers by chassis code, the weighted one appears as a duplicate for MB962959 in 98-99 GSX/Spyders. And I know my car came with an unweighted leather shift knob. It's not from a US Galant either.

Now I found a few Japan cars it was made for (Lancer/Mirage, Galant/Aspire, and Legnum), but I have no clue why it's a US part. Oh well. Enjoy the nice and cheap JDM shift knob LOL

Too bad I don't have Europe ASA or I would check that too.

The RA68a looks like the horse dick 1g knobs. I got my evo shift knob on evom.net for 10 shipped

I'll vote for the OEM weighted as well. Its leather, its a great shape, its weighted & it fits like OEM, what else could you ask for? (well I guess cheap, but its that too!)

Think I paid $14 from mistubishiparts.com their the cheapest you'll find online but if your just ordering one item might be just as cheap to get it local, because of the cost of shipping one item.

I have the RA68 and fits nicely and feels nice. I haven't been to the track with it, so I do not know how it feels then, but the "spirited" driving that I do, it feels great, even in this cold weather we are having now. RA96 is the one I really wanted, but I didn't want to mess with the metal in extreme weather.
