which one is lighter? 2g FWD or 1g AWD

2G fwd 5-speed = 2921 / 2998 pds------------2G AWD is 220-238 pds more. Driveshaft/diff./t-case. Thats a 200pd person...
1G awd 5-speed = 3073 / 3108----------------1G FWD is 280-300 pds Lighter.

A 2G fwd with the higher compression and 210hp factory is lighter obviously.

I stripped at least 200 more pounds from the fwd and its a night and day difference. With around 300hp its a highway monster.

Cheers

Lol I wonder why 1g awd lasers were lighter.

Probably something to do with less body trim panels, no spoiler and stuff like that, at least for the 1GA lasers. Maybe the lasers typically came with less options like ABS, a/c, power windows/locks, sunroof and whatnot.

Yes, lasers came with the bare minimum making them the lightest dsms stock!
