Hey I have a talon esi I was wanting to know does the rear o2 sensor change the a\f ratios?? I got an o2 eliminator but I know narrow band a\f ratios aren't very accurate but its saying I'm running so lean that the gauge doesn't even register unless I rev up the car... if the rear o2 eliminator didn't wrk right will the car run difffrently??

Whats wrong with the car anything? Whats wrong with the o2 sensor, the stock one is it bad? Your usiing a narrow band i guess blinky light shows your lean?

Nothens wrong with the car but yeah the light says that the cars running way lean I made an o2 eliminator and cut the o2 connecter and ran the ecu side to the eliminator

Im not sure what your asking, whhat are you using the narrowband for is the car turbo, or non. If the car runs fine i wouldnt pay it any attention.

What I was wanting to know is does the rear o2 sensor or can it change the a\f ratio.. I know the front can but does the rear do it too?

Again my question is what are you going to use the 02 for, is it a turbo charged car, do you want to tune it, im still lost as why you want to use the rear o2 sensor. If you have a narrow band, not a wideband im not sure what you are looking for it to do, since you know its not accurate as long as the stock 02 is hooked up in cant see it being an issue with how the car runs in the front or back.

My stock o2 in the rear is cut out its not being used but for the narrow band and I have it in the car just cause it was in the triple piller thing I got used I just want the gauge to be doin somthen is all I'm not using it just it was in the piller and I hooked it up... I got the ground, the two heater wires and the signal wire is just ran to the narrow band.. and I know if the car runs to lean then I can start running hot

No damnit, the rear o2 doesn't change fuel trims.
Why can't anyone just answer his simple question?

The leaner u run in a car the hotter the car gets cause the fuel isn't there to help keep the car running cooler atleast that's what I've been told

Hahaha, I just saw this and was following along and thinking the same thing :p

OP the rear O2 is basically there to be sure the cat is working properly. It will not lean out your car based on its readings.

First off you are talking about a narrow band, which is good for the pretty blinky lights and HUGE changes in your AF. Also, I am a little confused about what wire you are using for the narrow band. It seems that you are using the REAR O2 sensor wire for narrow band?

I cut the rear o2 wires and now I. Just have the rear o2 ran to the narrow band and I know the narrow bands useless it was in the triple piller I got used and I have a wide bandd on the way I just thought since its there to go ahead and hook it up... yes the narrow band is hooked up to the rear o2... I've got a o2 eliminator I put together I guess what I was wanting to know is if the so I cut the wires from the rear o2 and I ran the ecu side of the connector on the o2 to my eliminator I made and now I spliced all the wires back to the rear o2 except the signal wire which is ran to the narrow band.. I wanted to know if the rear o2 can change the fuel trim and I got that answered thanks everybody
