While it's a wonderful picture, I don't see those springs providing anything that the OP is looking for; he's already low.

If you're just going to throw on another pair of springs to raise it up a little you're still going to be stuck with springs with wimpy rates. Pick any of them really, S.techs, Prokits, whatever it is that Tanabe offers, etc. They're all the same class of spring, a drop of about 1.5" and wimpy rates that don't match. I guess the only difference from what you already have is that you won't be scraping on everything anymore.

What is your budget? Can you afford to do more than just swap in other springs?

As I've said a few times before: H&R OE Sports. The gray ones. Given that your car is silver, they also get the LCMSA.*

ps. * first person to figure of what "LCMSA" is an acronym for wins a prize; your only hint is that the "SA" stands for "stamp of approval"

Lowered Color Matching Stamp of Approval?

If only every (ok, not every) Handling Forum thread had such a fun twist buried inside. They usually, already, contain the best humor on the site. Since that surely goes over many member's heads, perhaps these could be used to generate more readers in this section? Or maybe you like your little fortress of solitude ;)

Is there a silent word in there like "with"?

He said he wanted to be low but not scrape everywhere. My Megan springs put me low, but the only thing I scrape are my mudflaps, which are no big deal. I even take speedbumps head on.

I'll be switching to coilovers, but I didn't suggest those as I assumed those weren't in his budget.

I know you can get this.

Should it for whatever reason not be an exact color match, I suppose they could always use the stickerbomb approach... although wrapping them around all those coils might be too time consuming for all but the most faded of DSMers.

:)

That is a better hint than any I could come up with.

Poor Leon.

As if the "faded", and the "stickerbomb" wasn't enough. I clued into who yesterday when
I saw the post but I wondered why it was brought up.

I had forgotten about that killer blue looming in the engine bay.

So I was looking through good threads for adivce on lowering springs but only found this fail thread. Good way to support the search feature btw

Since this thread so far is full of useful information about lowering spring. I would like to know how those megan racing springs are holding up. So far my search for a set for the AWD models has come up short, except for the ebay listings which I dont trust, because I doubt if a legit vendor carries an AWD set, an ebay seller will.

I would upload a pic if I could... I have tokico illumina with tokico lowering springs, best setup by far! Ride height is perfect. Not eibach sportline low, and not eibach prokit high. Right in between. Ride isn't rough either, but that could be cause of the illuminas. 2 thumbs up from me! Every review I read about them was positive. Good luck.

Maybe I will try the illuminas, I want to see if I can get away with just changing the springs but I might not be able too. Thanks for the heads up!

In all of your searching you didn't once come across a post telling you that AWD and FWD springs are the same for 2Gs...?

I'm running Eibach Prokit, unfortunately, my later photo isn't the same angle as the OE, but there is a considerable difference in ride height. The Eibach web site spec seems pretty close to me.
