which holset is this

I'm sitting at this guys house trying to figure out what holset this is before i buy it.

he said it was off a Kenworth roll over.. is this a hx-55?

From a quick search on the hotside number and comparing pics it looks to be a Holset HT-60. But its hard to tell exactly without the missing data plate on the compressor housing.

It looks bigger than an HX52. Is that a T6 turbine housing?

HT60 it is. Reverse-rotation, grossly oversized for DSM use. That turbo is larger than a 42R by a good bit.

Not if you want to put it non your dsm. It would be good for a race turbo small block v8, or a hot street big block. You could also build a sweet jet engine out of it!

Definitely pass it up for your DSM though.

Another jet engine vote. That would be sweet. I always wanted to build one. But never got everything I needed together. Then again I was in 7th grade.
