Which head studs?

Could be a newbie question could not be, but the previous owner of my 1999 gsx bent the valves and replaced his head with a 6 bolt head rather then a 7 bolt head, i plan on doing the head gasket and getting ARP head stud kit... My question is do i order the 6 bolt head stud kit or the 7 bolt head stud kit?

That shouldnt matter if the 6 bolt head worked, all bolts came out ok?

haven't removed the head yet just getting parts in advance

Im would get 7 bolt since your block is a 7 bolt block.

This is correct. The head studs must match the thread in the block. So 7 bolt block you need 7 bolt head studs.

Yes. Get the 7bolt head with the arp head studs. If you decide to do a 6 bolt motor swap you need the 6 bolt arp studs and just need to make the holes for the studs bigger. The 7 bolt head is what iI have on my 6 bolt block.
