Which Head studs.

I have a 6 bolt short block and I have my 2g head that I want to put on the 6 bolt short block. So do I get 1g or 2g ARP studs. I know I have to drill and probly retap something.

The head studs needs to match the block. In your case, you need the 6-bolt arp head studs.

So do I need to bore out the stud holes in the head?

You need to bore the holes out in the head 1mm or like one of the moderators who used this combo did, use a factory bolt in the hole that is toward the front of the car and all the way to the pass. side(or from the engine point of view, the right side rear) or you won't get enough oil to the head. I used the second method because I already had the head on before realizing I wasn't going to get enough oil so I swapped in just that one factory bolt and it's been good ever since.
