which halfshafts should i get i bet the two brands are almost the same but price is the big killer and fidanza is a well respected name in my books and they have a better price so that where my money is probably going...well let me know about ur thought i need them so i just have to decide which is the better brand

thanx all

Unless you're making 500-600whp, the ones from driveshaftshop.com are certainly overkill. I didn't realize that Fidanza was making axles, good to know.

In the interest of giving lots of options without much in the way of direction, you might also consider Raxles. I just swapped the axles in both our 1g and 2g with axles from Marty, and so far I'm happy with them. They're remanufactured, but they seem to hold up well (at least under moderate horsepower levels), they have a lifetime warrantee, and they're significantly cheaper than the other two options you mentioned. (But, to remain honest: there's at least one guy doesn't like them.)

i decided the fidanzas as you all can see....they look sweet by them selfs....i'll do some comparison pics tomorrow.

one question i thought that the driver side driveshaft on the 1g awd had a carrier bearing on the block but my fidanza didn't come with a new one...so do i use the old one or discard it?

Unless you see something wrong with the old carrier bearing, I'd just use that; that's what I did on my 1g and 2g when I replaced the axles. Otherwise, you're going to need to track down a press to replace the old one. See the following for good write-ups on doing the actual replacement, and related tasks:

Hope this helps! Be sure to report back in a few thousand miles with how those boots are wearing, and if you've had any issues with them! :)

AWESOME RESPONSE thanks for the links the install should be a breeze now...i have done many cv joints before but no awd's or one's with the carrier bearing....thanks again.....and i think i should have some good luck with these axels since they're rated from 300hp and up!....plus they're from fidanza so we already know the quality is there right.

ill be happy to report back on these axels should be A++
