which external wastegate to choose

I am looking into getting a tial 38mm external wastgate to put with my e3 16g, my first question is when i try to order it, I have options for different types of (BARS) I am not sure what this means and which bar do I pick if i am going to run between 16psi and 22psi. My second question is how much should i port out the factory wastegate hole when I remove the flapper.thanks

Its the rate of the spring in the wastegate in bar (i.e. 1 bar = 14.7psi) the minimum boost it will run.

so I should gt a spring for 16psi if thats the lowest Im going to run, how much should I port the whole that the original flapper covers

Yep, choose the spring that represents the lowest amount of boost you want to run. Boost levels can then be increased with a boost controller.

For reference:

.5 bar = 7.25188689 psi

.6 bar = 8.70226426 psi

.7 bar = 10.1526416 psi

.8 bar = 11.603019 psi

.9 bar = 13.0533964 psi

1 bar = 14.5037738 psi

is it better to go a little lower? i think i might be rinning about 14 at my lowest, so should i get a .9bar, or the 1bar? will the 1bar be better when i raise the boost? or does it not matter? i am probably going to go into the upper teens.

The lower you go the lower the maximum boost you can run (weaker spring = blows open more easily).

Just wondering if I was to get a low bar setup lets say to run 8 psi at the lowest, would it have the potential of running 20psi of boost? Also has anyone used the turbochargers.com wastegate? Did a search and couldnt find anything on it.
