I got Greddy S BOV and when i ordered the XS Power FMIC i told them that i have a greddy BOV and that i need the flange for it. Well i got my FMIC and piping but i looked at the flange and the flange on my BOV. THey dont match. The one on the pipe is a lil longer and thiner and the one on my BOV is fatter and shorter. Is it suppose to be like that or am i missing something. I wish i have pix for it but im pretty sure you can find some pix of a greddy BOV and the flange of the piping. But do i need to get a diff BOV?

Also i called Ptuning shop ### they are local shop and ask them about the recirculation kit for my BOV he said i really dont need one just get an adpater. Is he right?

Hes right that you dont need a kit, You can reuse your stock recirculator tube, but you should recirculate it unless you know how to properly vent. I wouldnt go get a new bov if that is the incorrect flange on the ic piping, just get a new flange...

ummm XS couldn't care less what BOV you got or what flange you need/want...heh. They only come with one flange style and that's 1g bov flange.

But you can use the greddy w/ that flange actually.....just drill new holes for the Greddy on that flange. :)

Drill holes for it or get a Greddy to 1G adapter from www.dejonpowerhouse.com

To answer you question you can use these BOVs with that kit:
1) 1G BOV
2) Greddy Type S or RS (adapter required - sold at dejonpowerhouse.com) or you can drill holes
3) HKS SSQV (adapter required - sold at dejonpowerhouse.com)

I just won this auction for an xs fmic.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...m=250033822351&ih=015&sspagename=STRK:MEWN:IT

In the picture it appears to be flanged for a 50mm tial. Does it come with a 1g flange or not? I want to know so I can order a 1g flange. This car will never see over 20-21 psi so I'm sticking with the stock BOV... discrete and it gets the job done.

Somewhere in the big XS/EBAY fmic thread, there is a vfaq/walkthrough on how to modify 1g flange to accept Greddy BOVs. That is what I did, and what others followed as well.

It might be in the DIY/Tech articles. It's quite simple to do. I have the same kit, and I use to run a Greddy Type S on it with the modified flange. Using stock recirculation tube to go to a dejon 3.5" intake pipe. Now I use an HKS SSQV knockoff (which works great btw.. 25psi) but I did not buy the $50 1g to hks flange, because I opted to cheap out and buy the $25 wrx to hks flange on ebay because I thought it would work. The wrx flange looks similar, but its bigger, thus the holes not matching up. I had to drill new holes on the flange to match up with the greddy holes I put on the 1g flange of the kit. I couldve made the holes bigger on the wrx flange to meet up with the 1g holes but it would be slotted, it wouldve worked but at the time I thought it would be bad. If you want to save $25 that will work too.

Hey it's good that you responded man. I'm from the bay area too and I was really thinking of buying an ssqv ebay knockoff with the recirc adapater. I could get the flange, bov, and recirc adapter for like 90 or 100 bucks shipped. A real ssqv would cost 2.5 or 3 times the price... that'll be the day that I get suckered into paying over 200 dollars for a blowoff valve. I'd rather buy 3 fake ones :D, no flame intended to the suckers that paid full price. I can't believe I got the front mount set for 200 dollars. My supra smic that I planned was going to cost way more than that.

Anyway, I don't know about the 2g kit, but the auction for the 1g kit says it comes with a 50mm bov flange. It says nothing about a 1g flange nor does it have a 1g flange in any of the pictures. I'll check out the ebay fmic thread but it's freakin 50 something pages... I got to 25 or 26 and called it a day.

Anybody with 1g xs kit please respond with what flange the uicp comes with.

The flange for the kit is a 50mm you need to buy whatever flange you plan on using, and have it welded on
