Tried researching this and can't really find an answer.
My alternator is going, and I believe that is part of what is causing my idle issue, I have done a complete tune up and am now at checking for boost leak and the IAC, BISS screw etc, I finally got the ECU Plus that was in the car working and can now get my car to idle pretty steady around 900-1000 with a bit of tuning, it's running better and misfires less often (6 bolt swap), it will stall out while driving about once each trip and occasionally idle rough. Last night I noticed that with my headlights on the idle drops to 700-800 then jumps to 900-1000 with the headlights off. The brake, battery, and anti-lock lights have been staying on.
In general, I need to know if a 1g or 2g alternator would work best, since it's a 6 bolt from a 1g but the computer and wiring is still 2g, just need some advice, thanks!
