With my new setup underway, where would you say my powerband will be on my dd?

20g with 16g turbine wheel in downfiring housing
8:5.1 compression
272 kelford cams
93 pump gas
Going to be running 25ps

Any other mods that u need to list for better idea just post up.

If you run the stock intake manifold your peak power should be somewhere between 6500-7000 rpms. Kelford 272s are bigger then some 280s and with a nice intake manifold should make power to 8000-8500 but your 20g would run out of steam by then. Your setup should be fun to drive with quick spool up and good power around 6500 rpms.

You should see a little bit faster spool up with 264s but top end power shouldn't be effected much if you use the stock intake manifold. If you plan on getting a different intake manifold and a bigger turbo in the future I would go with 272s. I have FRH cast intake manifold with kelford 272s last time I was at the dyno car made 563 awhp at 8000 rpms and never dropped off at 30 psi on pump/meth. I didn't rev the engine past 8000 rpms so for all I know it could be still making power past 8000 rpms.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. That stock 2g MAF might be maxed out with that turbo at 25 psi. I looked at your mod list and you have v3. For under $150 dollars you can switch to speed density. GM 3 bar map sensor $60-$80, GM IAT sensor $30 and $40 for the SD cable from ecmlink. You will get better spool with less restrictor in the intake pipe.

I'm not a tuner by any means and don't want the headache of tryin to tune sd. I think the 2g maf is capable of 400+. So you don't think ill gain top end over the 264?

It would help but without a larger turbo top end gains won't be alot but there would be some. You would see the biggest increase over the 272s in midrange power. You won't be revving past 7500 thats for sure. 7k i would say would be fairly close to your peak power. 6.5k is about where a 14b would peak.

You would have to dyno the setup to find where to shift. As you need to see where peak hp is at and how it drops after peak. Then you would set shift point somewhere after peak hp so shifts will keep you closest to peak. You do not shift right at peak hp.

The 2g maf should be able to handle 25psi on your 20g. If you had issues with it, just switch to an evo maf which handles up to 66lbs/min. More than a 20g will push. Bastard or true 20g.

The thing is, is that after around 6500 the turbo will start to fall off. I noticed with mine was that after that point I was losing horsepower. So to me it made no sense to push it harder then need be.
