Would you use this?

Im currently in the process of rebuilding my 14b turbo and i figured that since i already have a small 16g compressor wheel and housing i might as well make it a small 16g while im at it. i have a 7cm turbine housing as well but it has been ported by the previous owner, and while im not a porting guru it seems to me like this might not have been done as efficiently as possible. Should i look for another housing or try and work with this one? I have an ebay e316g turbine housing that is machine ported but id rather not use it because the wastegate flapper slides in and out of the housing a little. Can that wastegate be fixed? (besides welding it shut and running an external one)

I would report that and smothen it out looks prety rough but not the worst I have seen. From what I have read you need to have the cartidge milled to fit that compressor wheel.

I really would like to use the MHI housing with a evo exhaust manifold, so if i wanted to make this one work am i bringing out the dremel or does anyone have a better idea for smoothing it out?

if you have a roto zip or something that takes a larger 1/4" bit then try going to harbor freight. they carry a cartridge roll kit that comes with the arbor for like $30. enough rolls to do about 2 complete engines if they last.

Looks fine to use, but could use another hour or so of pushin carbide into it.
Get a carbide bit and finish it up.

thanks for the suggestions im gonna do some more work on this one so im gonna buy some bits but im pretty sure im gonna want more than a dremel.

I ported my 16g housing with a Dremel. It took a while though. Even with several different carbide bits.

They are expensive, but a quality carbide goes along ways!!!!!!
