Where To Run Amplifier Power Cable?

Hey i heard about a grommet that has a sensor going thru it, so people sneak wires thru it,

Im running a two gauge power wire..... Will it fit?

upper left side where the passangers feet would be. Pull back the top corner of the carpet, you'll see it.

i drilled holes at the top right (looking at your engine bay) and they came out above your left foot (when in the car).

if you are running your wires to the trunk, i ran mine under the car and up at the rear seat - no chance of interference that way...

ok n my 93 i ran it through that grommet,well i had to cut some rubber stuff under the dash and FIGHT like all hell to find a place to get it through. try fitting 4 gauge wire through that small hole. if i had a drill it be tons easier. i need to put single gauge in but there is no way i will be able to fit it through.

also dont bother looking behind the pedals. the firewall is a nightmare over there as well. goodluck

I ran my 2-two guage welding leads through the rubber boot around the steering shaft. I couldnt find any other spot to put them without drillin holes.

I don't think you'll be able to fit the 2-gauge wire through that grommet without annihilating everything in its path.... its a VERY tight fit and was a bi*** to pull through even with my 8-gauge.

there are also grommets under either seat - if that helps... (is it me, or does the word grommet sound like a muppet or something?)

STart this project by Removing the battery, then remove the platform that the battery rests on, its held in by three screws.

Place all of it on the side out of the way, then unscrew the sidepanel in the passenger footwell, then pull the carpet up and away, then put a screwdriver or knife thru the grommet that has a plastic wire wrap going thru it. place it on the top right of it.

then go to the other side and see where its comming thru, and then make an X with the knife, and hold it, and have a friend push the wire thru the grommet. then replace all of it and be on your way.
