So I'm working on the cf hatch and decided to give lexan a try and see how long it lasts. I have flush mount screws with a 3/4" diameter head because I plan on letting the lexan "float" so it won't buckle with temperature changes.

My question is, should I use the stock weather stripping? If so, where in the world can I purchase it? Or does anyone know of another type of rubber that would fit the bill?

Not familiar with 2G weatherstripping, but can say that there are some adhesives made for car glass that never really "dry" and stay really flexible and soften up as temperature goes up (like leaving the car out in the sun on a hot summer day). How thick it the lexan you are using?

Don't remember the brand of adhesive, but have some of it in the shed, will look tomorrow. Do remember that it's like a thick black sticky "rope" that is placed around the hole for the glass and glass is then pressed onto it. There is also stuff that is similar, but comes in a tube similar to how bathroom silicone or construction adhesives do.
