Where to Find the Second O2 sensor wires in my 95

Ok so I did a 6 bolt swap so Im not totally stupid !

When doing the swap my cat is gutted so I just cut the wires off for my second o2 when removing the exhaust because it was so rusted in I couldn't turn it out if I wanted to. Anyways I was going to do the eliminator setup with the caps and ressitor the other day and pulled my drivers seat out carpet up and there is no freakin harness under there going to the grommet in the floor for the O2 wire harness. Where the hell is it or where did it go? Does anyone have a pic of the harness in the car it is possible I grabbed it and tied it behind the dash when doing the MT swap but the connector looks wrong from what I remember it was a square plug 2 on top 2 on bottom the one I have is 4 in a row red white and yellows with a a black I think? If anyone has some pics or something I'd appreciate them getting sick of clearing the codes for second 2 malfunction.

If I remember correctly the gromet is right next to the hump. Imagine where the seatbelt locks into.. it should be right there.

Since you mentioned the O2 eliminator I have a question.


I have a 1995 GS and just getting started on fixing it up. I want to straight pipe the cat but was curious what effect it would have on the ECU not getting the reading from the O2.


Also you mentioned an O2 eliminator with caps and resistors is there a home made remedy for this or do I need to order a O2 eliminator from someplace like jegs before I can scrap the cat?

If there is a homemade remmedy could you post or point me to the page where the info on that could be found..

I'm making one today. There are two varieties. The true eliminator that is used pre-cat(no cat) uses a 555 timer I.C. and generates the appropriate pseudo sine wave. It is a tad more complex. The #2 o2 spoofer uses a 12 ohm 15WATT (not 12) to act as the heater load and a 1 meg resistor simulates the resistive load of the electo chemical sensor. By adding a 1uf capacitor in parallel to the 1meg, a phase shift occurs when a comparison is made between the #1and #2 sensor(spoof). The ECU now sees the front sensor and a phase shifted image which it recognizes as the second sensor.
To answer your question. Search this board for o2 sensor simulator. A link to a schematic is here somewhere.
PM me. I have 5 25W 12ohm resistors, 5 1meg resistors, and 5 1uf caps to give away. The caps are two .47 uf in parallel.
I say 15 watt because:
Ohm's law.
E= I x R
12v= I x 12ohm, or 12/I =12v
I = 1amp.
At a minimum, the resistor should dissapate 10% more than the calculated wattage. You can use 12W, but it will heat up!

Zippy, do you really think that precat O2 sensor elimination is a good idea? Post cat is a emissions/self check function. Precat is... kinda important in a closed loop engine management system.

Being "green", I believe that anything to clean up emissions and reduce our dependence on foreign fuel is good. Others find pleasure in racing cars, legal and otherwise. The number of people using turoback exhausts without cats exceeds the number of legitimate track only cars. The front simulator is for those that disregard the importance of clean air and fuel economy. The thrill of speed is addictive and deadly when exercised off track and on the street. The second o2 should be almost sleeping if the cat is in good shape. When it detects an unbalanced gas(oxygen) mixture, its output increases in gain and signals an error in the ECU. A good cat will keep the #2 sensor benign.
