Where can I buy new fwd dsm axle boots? I've been looking but can't find anywhere

I've also bought mine from Rockauto. Advance Auto seems to only stock "universal" boots that don't fit all that well.

rockauto it is then. I noticed they just have options for "front inner" and "front outer". Are the passenger and driver side boots the same? Like are both inner boots the same?

I didn't like those uni-fit boots. Mine leaked. Plus, they cost more. Lose-lose.

Napa has oem quality exact fit replacements. I just did the drivers side inner boot on my 1G a few months ago and the boot looks and fits exactly like the oem piece. Here's the part numbers: $20.47

Front Left/Right - Inner:
CVB 6862154

Front Left/Right - Outer:
CVB 6862397

I ordered mine from JNZtuning. I think I paid more than red97rum but I had to order some other things and they were oem.

I meant to mention that some people don't think it's worth it to spend that kind of money on just boots when you can get new cardone axles from Rockauto for around $52 shipped to your door.

I always get them from JNZtuning, they come complete with both clamps and grease. I wish that I could find some made out of something more durable, like Viton rubber or silicone. Maybe they would last longer.

I wouldn't do that. Most auto part stores sell replacement clamps for CV boots. The trick is just getting them tight enough. Just as an aside, I was told by the guys at Driveshaftshop.com to make sure not to get ANY grease inside the boot on the area where it attaches to the axle cups...or on the outside of the axle cups. They said that grease there will make the boot more prone to slipping off.

It's not recommended. That being said, it does work, I did it once
