Where ohhh where can a guy find a downpipe?!

Soooooo Ya here I am at the end bit of my build being held up by a downpipe... Well the guy who had my car before me did a hack weld job and basically made one sold piece from the turbo back... Iv got several O2 housings one being Evo 3 so I ordered a RRE long downpipe back in March and still got nothing they have been horsing me around saying it's done and gana be shipped well that was Ohh 2 weeks ago and still nothing. Well I figured I'd bite the bullet on that one can't even get my money back ( NEVER ORDERING FROM THEM AGAIN sorry had to vent) ordered a Megan 3" downpipe from punishment and those are on back order for 4 months they where however prompt and great to deal with! so if anyone has any hot tips of where a guy can find a decent one prefferably not 500$ that'd be great

You could look into Apexi downpipes also, either the n1 or gt spec

Buschur Racing makes a really nice downpipe. 3" mandrel bent 304 stainless.

Dang well I was about to get my short down pipe and high flow cat from RRE, you think I will have the same problem with them? I normally go with jnztunning also. But the RRE down pipe just made up my mind for me. Don't know why

So you have really been waiting for almost 4 months now?
Not sure I want that pipe any more.

I ordered my megan racing downpipe from extreme psi and had it at my door step within the week. And that's shipped to Alaska!

I'm running a 3" SIM downpipe, had to do some modification to make it fit but no other conplaints! Cheap too if I remember

vrsf intercoolers have been back ordered for a very longtime. In terms of downpipes, i have an apexi n1. I tried using that with my evo 3 o2 housing and it didnt line up properly. It was hitting the tcase. The evo 3 o2 housing flange is a little different angle than the stock o2 housing flange so keep that in mind

vrsf intercoolers have been back ordered for a very longtime.

Which I knew when I bought it but there website said "Arrival Late June" when I ordered it. A week later it changed to late July. Not a big deal, it was an empathetic post not a "gripe".

In terms of downpipes, i have an apexi n1. I tried using that with my evo 3 o2 housing and it didnt line up properly.

Lines up perfectly with mine and seals great. Maybe a little hit and miss.

To the OP I loved the Megan racing down pipe , test pipe , and exhaust.... Nice low sound, not annoying and I got my down and test pipe from jnz and exhaust from extreme psi and got my items quick none of those 4 months.

I had a nearly identical experience with RRE. Ordered an Evo 3 downpipe no one communicated anything with me, never returned my phone calls / voicemails. After a couple months I cancelled my order and bought a PR downpipe & o2 housing.

Disappointing experience, they're the only west coast DSM shop that I know of. I was going to order a lot of stuff from then, they lost my business.

You mean to tell me you live in Minnesota and you cannot think of a shop to contact to make you up a down pipe? Modern Automotive Performance? DB Performance? There are so many shops that could build it then ship it to you. Another option? Get the piping, flanges and head to well known Exhaust Pros. Just find a decent exhaust shop or even welder.

Not rocket science bud. Plenty of options if you're worried about time and money!
