Okay, I looked all over the forums and vfaq's and cant find an anwser, seams like all the threds that mite have an anwser are for 2gs and not a 1g like mine.

I have bought a glowshift guage pod for my 91 eclipse gst, it came with three gauges of my choice so I got a boost volt and oil temp. gauges. The boost and volt gauges went in fine work great.
:hmm:My question is where can I tap into the block or somewhere for the sensor that came with the oil temputure gauge?
I really dont want to have to buy a t fitting from the glowshift web site if i dont have too.

Oil temp is measured at the pan. If you don't want to have a bung welded to the pan you can drill & tap the oil drain plug and install it there. Makes changing a bit of a pita but it is the only other option. Just use spade terminals to connect the wire to maKe drain plug removal a bit easier.

Okay, @miguelmcv, thats a bit more help thanks, so what size T do i need to get and can i get it from a parts store? As for the Moderator and the others under him that posted, thank you for saying what I asked you not too. My car is STOCK The temputure gauge I got came with the package deal so no im not returning it. I simply just want it hooked up and half way functonal, that way i dont have an empty spot in my gauge pod.

And to be honest, why would they put an oil pressure gauge in a STOCK car if it was not some what reliable? What you all said is basicly saying any/all stock gauges are just there to tell you the car is turned on/moving.

Sorry if I am saying anything wrong or bashing on any one, its completley unintentional.

On ebay they have a filter sandwich that goes just before the filter and it adds 4 holes for all your gauges sending units. i am planning on getting one for around like 25-30 bucks to use to set up my aftermarket gauge setup.

For the same reason the factory boost gauge on the cluster doesn't really measure boost.

Moving gauge needles assure unsuspecting drivers that everything is A-OK. It doesn't mean these just gauges are actual useful tools of measurement.

Nobody said any and all factory gauges suck. Just un-numbered gauges and gauges that "estimate" as apposed to using a sending unit.
