Resolved where can i get the socket for my ecu for dsmlink?

Sockets like these are literally about as common as a Penny. They can be found in everything as far as old printers to Radio Shack. EEPROM sockets have been used for many, many years now but not all hold the same quality - though this is debatable per how simple they are. Normally even a local electronics' shop or PC repair shop can do a socket/cap replacement for you. Just make sure they agree to the value of your ECU/Board and back their work before you just hand it off. I find that sending the ECU in for proper cap replacement and socketing has a little more than ridiculous turn around and the cost just isn't worth it for such a menial task.
