where can i get oem style replacement floor mats?

My floor mats are stained and falling apart. Does anyone know of some custom floor mats that fit a 2gen car? I don't want any flame designs or NOS crap on them, just a solid color and maybe a small logo.

well, I am supposed to get a deal since I submitted templates to them. They told me it'd be a few weeks or maybe a couple months. It's beena run around. They told me they only do mass production runs. So, they won't just make a set here and there. They make what they have orders for apparently and won't start making until a certain # of orders is placed. Kinda sucks, but they look pretty nice imo. I submitted the templates to them probably 3 months ago. No idea what's going on.

I had some floor mats made for my 99 RS. The rears are small and kinda "guessed" but the front 2 are an exact trace of the stock mats. I made the templates myself and sent them in. These mats are really high quality. The bottoms are grippy and the fronts have a hole and a pin type of thing to help hold them in place. here is the link: http://www.tekniqauto.com/US/racemats/racemats.htm

Those mats are hot. I have the weapon-R mats but don't like them that much. They were sliding under the pedals so I put zip-ties through them and the carpet.

I got 30% off for drawing the templates out and basically getting these started. They run from around 100-125 I think, depending on what you get. I think mine were regular 120 and I paid 90 shipped or something.

Just get some regular floor mats at walmart and take them to an embroidery shop where they can put the logo or name or whatever you want on there...

I've thought about that taking that route, but isn't custom embroidery expensive?

I don't think you can order them, or even get them made. I found this on a website.

Floor mat embroidered logo ruling

There was a recent court order that greatly affected the whole aftermarket custom floor mat industry. Basically, saying that the floor mat manufacturers could only embroider logos that they have official licensing for.
Lloyd Mats and DM (Designer Mat) are the two biggest and the best floormat manufacturers.
This is how they were affected - These are the only logos that they are allowed to embroider starting March 18th 2002:

Volkswagen Buick
Cadillac
Chevrolet
GMC
Oldsmobile
Pontiac

Even if you order "custom embroidery/lettering", they still can not do names and numbers of vehicles except for above.
We are a quite dissappointed with this needless to say, but unfortunately that is the way it is, at least for the time being.

That's kinda disappointing, but not a major disappointment. One thing I'd considered was having my cars nickname embroidered, and maybe an image of the penguin my car is nicknamed after. I'm sure that's legal. It's also something everyone else here could consider... it allows for more creativity, that's for sure.
