where can i get oem style replacement floor mats?

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

As the subject says. Were can I find them online? I need a new factory set that fits the proper way.

Thanks,

J:dsm:

You can buy them from a dealership. I don't remember the price, but I do remember they weren't that expensive from www.partznet.com. Also, if non-oem is an option for you, someone posted that http://www.tekniqauto.com has good floor mats. While I've never seen them myself, the pictures of them look VERY nice, and I've considered replacing my worn stock mats with theirs. Even have options for diamondplate inserts where your heels would be.

ive got a 99 -- and they aint black from the factory. i also got new ones from partznet.com ... they are prob cheeper there than you can get them for localy

The black interior eclipses still had a number of either tan or grey parts, including the floormates.

As for those being ricey, I actually think they're quite functional seeing as I seem to wear a spot on my floormats where my heel goes.

Well, it's time to replace that nasty ass carpet in the talon. Anyone know how much footage (width and length) to do the front, back, and hatch area?

I don't know the dimensions, but there are formed kits on eBay most of the time for around $100.

acc makes carpets that fit really well. a couple of my friends bought them and they worked nice and they have some phatty colors.

Thanks guys!
I am really trying to do this pretty cheap, I'm guessing that maybe 6' by 20' would be more than enough (including cutting at wierd angles) if I were to just buy the carpet from home depot.
Sound about right?

Well, if you just like working on stuff, and your time's "free", I'd sure hope that'd be enough. Of course, it's not automotive carpet, it has no sound deadening under it, won't have a heel mat, will be a bi*** to install and form, and will take the inexperienced a week to finish....

Or, for a hundred (what, two, three hour's overtime?):

Nothing meant by it, it's your time. I'd THINK the 1G carpets are all the same, although this listing starts with a '91.

I replaced the carpet in my TA a few years ago. Even buying a formed (VERY cheap version might I add) carpet it took me several hours to get right. There is no way I would even dream of going to home depot to buy some.

That is just me. If you are a glutton for punishment then more power to you.

In terms of measurements though... 6x20 will be more than enough, like you said.

Thanks again guys, if it's that difficult then I may as well fold and get the premolded carpet.

Thanks for the link Defiant, I think I'll go ahead and get it (as soon as I know that it is for black carpet).

I may have to pick up some carpet anyways, the back seat is being tossed, and I'm going to cover the hatch area. Those areas should be quite easier than the front I suppose.

Just to give you guys some insight as to my plans, everything is going to be black. The carpet, headliner, and seats (with harnesses) are going to be replaced with new products. The dash and interior panels are going to be worked to a nice black finish; while everything is out of the car, I plan to put it on a diet (ie...remove back seats, remove sound deadener, remove useless equipment like the auto seat belts). The battery will be moved to the back, and the old steering wheel will be replaced with a new sparco wheel.

If you have any ideas, please let me know; I'm always up for suggestions.

Thanks again,
Brad

If it's on a diet you might find that the aftermarket carpeting (without sound deadening) is lighter than the stuff from HD.

Just food for thought.

Well this is just me, but it sounds sooooooo stupid when ppl say that there ripping out the back seat for less wight. It seems like a thing that is worth the wight. Lets say ur cruzing with your girl and you stop and her supa hot friend wants a ride...what you going to say.."oh i don't have a back seat cuz i want my car 20 lbl lighter!...you'll just have to walk..sorry cutie" LOL :D

He never said anything about doin it for weight. I personally taking out my rear seat also. For one thers not any room for a person anyhow, and Im 6'8" so the front seat is getting moved back an inch or so and the back seat is in the way.

Okay guys the premolded front carpet is on order and for the rear (to cover where the seats were and where the hatch area is) I picked up some carpet from Home Depot (total cost of $48).

I also picked up some fabric from Wal-Mart for the headliner and visors($12) and I picked up some styrofoam stuff so that I can put the :dsm: emblem in the headliner ($4).

I'll try to do a step by step instruction on how to do the :dsm: , and I'll let you guys see how it looks when I get done.

By the way, I'm replacing that nasty looking cloth insert on the doors with the fabric that I picked up from Wal-Mart.
