I have a few questions since this is my first car.

I would like to turn my 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse Rs all stock.

So I am wondering where can I get the original pieces? Beside eBay and the junkyard. Majority of the junkyards I have been to have mostly been taken apart. The cars there are all empty. Seats, engines, rims, lights, ETC... have been removed from the vehicles by other owners.

Which dealership would I go to? Mitsubishi? or look online in the DSM area?

I need to change the shocks since they don't work anymore.

The little things in the inside would be like the Original gear shifter, covers to the center piece near the cup holder, I'm not sure what the other pieces are called.
One of them covers for the back headlights inside the trunk. That needs like a screw to hold the back cover.

I was told to go to a polyester shop to have the room done, and the spare tire spot covered with hard cardboard and carpet. I'm not really sure about much since this is my first car and I really don't know anything.

DSM graveyard helped me out when I was looking for some OEM parts that NONE of my local yards had.

I want to find the Original Shift knob, the inside mirror side cover that moves the mirror
( not sure what it is called ), Stock rims size 14,

I don't have a spare tire, the jack that goes in the trunk.
I have a wooden cover that covers the spot where the spare is supposed to go, but it is really old and damaged so I am going to have to remove it and get the cover, carpet that covers the trunk done.

You know how above the trunk there is supposed to be a spot that covers the inside of the car from the trunk? It's behind the backseat seats. Where the trunk is LOL IDK how to explain it hopefully someone understands

Front bumper and rear bumper will later be needed.

The person who sold me the car had zip ties holding the corner of the front bumper.
The rear bumper had a dent which kinda broke the left side of the rear bumper, so its kinda broken, but not really a big deal I just want to replace it if that makes sense?

Also in the center piece next to the Cup holder, I am missing a cover to the cover to the little square spot not sure what it is called, and a cover to the center piece between the passenger and the driver behind the E Break.

I found a LOT of smaller parts at the junkyard. All of them in great shape and for the low $$. Remeber that our cars share a lot of pieces with sebrings,avengers...etc. I give you props for wanting to restore it, but if I was to "Restore" an RS I would take some of the nicer pieces off the higher models like rear discs, power side mirrors, fog lights, etc.. Just keep them stock. As far as shocks, I know the stockers are KYB, but I cam tell you the tokico illuminas on their softest setting are pretty darn comfortable.

Also, I made a new trunk floor using 1/2" particle board. I also made 3 hatch covers. One is stock style, one has a cut out for 2 6x9's and the last one has a cut out for a 12" sub. I used a 5/16" bar I got from home depot, 1/2" particle board and suede fabric from the local fabric shop. Good luck to you bro!

For the maunal mirror cover insert good luck finding it. They are discontinued for Mitsubishi and are very hard to find not broken. I have an extra drivers side one (somewhere in my shed full of DSM "junk" LOL) I could sell you. Just PM me if you are interested. I still have yet to find one for my passengers side. I also have a rear bumper for a 95. Its off a GS-T though so it has a silver stripe on the bottom, buts it black in good shape. Again PM if you want it. The cover that your are talking about that covers the trunk area behind the back seat, I've always just called that a cargo cover. I also have the stock 14"s off my RS. But they are currently on my GS-T shell.

+1 for all he said. For junkyards, guys around here spend a lot of time at Pick n Pull or U-wrench it when I lived on the East coast. Not sure what's available in SoCal but I'd guess there's alot. That's WAY cheaper then the stealership.

Thanks you for all the info, very helpful, and I will message you!

I agree the Dealership has outrages prices, but hey who can complain the pieces are brand new and saves you time from going around wasting time looking for something! BUT! (; I think I will save money and waste time around looking for parts I need while saving money! (;

Can you make a guide or guide me on how to do that? That sounds very interesting and might be fun :p

Don't forget ebay. I was in the same position when I first got my RS. I ended up finding a few parts on ebay and they were much cheaper than buying OEM from Mitsu.

Thanks for the car-part.com link!

That'll possibly be a plan in the future if I can no longer find what I need in junkyards! (; , but I need to find out the names of the parts /:

Only thing I need at the moment that I know of is the cover to the center console, cover to spot next to cup holder, driver seat inside mirror cover, fuse box cover under driver seat, shift knob ( I have a chrome ball that came with the car! ): )
, spare tire, jack set, cargo for the trunk, Headliner, the third breaklight, the cover that goes above the trunk from the back seat so you can't look inside the trunk from outside.

I shall be buying the shocks soon! Then trading my 16's for 14's then eventually find the stock rims!

I just replaced basically the whole center console, center vent assembly, rear view mirror and center side panels in my GSX all from Used Auto and Truck Parts - Junk Car Disposal at U Pull R Parts Minneapolis and spent about $40 for everything. I might have ashtray and a few extra parts. If I find anything I will mssg you(arnie). All I would charge is shipping and color is grey.

Many interior parts are interchangeable with sebrings and avengers....just keep checking junkyards. It took me about 3 months to gather parts and I still need to find headliner/visors and snrf trim.

Just a thought but maybe look into buying another RS/GS that is more or less a beater and part it out to make some cash aside from what you keep....

Thank you very much! That is quiet generous! I recently got the visors, I accidentally found them when I had to replaces my drivers chair. I called a junkyard and they told me a 96 Eclipse just went into the lot. I got extremely lucky! Junkyards are a huge life saver when you're low on cash! :)

What's wrong with your headliner? I'm going to have to take my car in so they can put a headliner fabric thing put in!

OP are you completely missing your headliner? If not, you can recover it yourself. It's pretty easy. And as far as little interior bits, call Miller Import Parts (S&M Auto). They are a supporting vendor on here and he's got a yard almost completely dedicated to eclipses and talons. Chances are he probably has what you need and he ships all over the place.

Go on google and type in "eclipse oem" its pricy but they have pretty much everything, best of luck!

I'm not sure what the pieces I need are called! ):
I just know what they're LOL.

How do you know if you're completely missing the headliner? I still have this yellow soft/hard top, if you poke you're finger breaks it and makes a little whole! ):
