where can i find the original pieces

I have a few questions since this is my first car.

I would like to turn my 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse Rs all stock.

So I am wondering where can I get the original pieces? Beside eBay and the junkyard. Majority of the junkyards I have been to have mostly been taken apart. The cars there are all empty. Seats, engines, rims, lights, ETC... have been removed from the vehicles by other owners.

The Console Lid is not missing that the stock one .... I took mine off GST that had the lid . I paid $15 for that . And the Mirror cover i been looking for the last year for them . i just going to buy the power Mirrors for it .. I hate looking at them

Actually the RS model does not have a factory console lid. The way yours looks is how they come from the factory. And you are missing the entire ashtray assembly. (next to the cup holder is where that goes, that is why it looks like you are missing a "lid" there)

For your headliner...you can take the whole thing out (through the hatch), scrape off all that nasty foamy crap before you inhale it, find some nice headliner material and some spray adhesive (specifically for headliners) and redo that poor thing. Seriously...before you get sick.

I feel you on the changing the mirror part, I was thinking of changing the mirrors to another mirror from the 95-99 series ( not power mirrors though since nothing in my car is power operated. )

Thank you for your reply on that! I am going to take it to an Upholstery place ( I'm not sure what it's called ), get the headliner, and the Trunk area done!

I don't wanna do a bad job and end up staring at it everyday if that makes sense?

I was thinking about scraping it off, but I don't wanna scratch the roof and do something wrong. I know sounds stupid!

No you're fine, but yes I'm positive. My RS and every RS I've seen the consoles look like that, mine did too before I swapped a GS console in it. And you can just buy the Ashtray I was just saying the whole thing wasn't there not just the lid. Just trying to be helpful, since my first DSM was an RS and I've had it for 3 years now I'm pretty sure I know what the parts look like

Have you considered finding a way to restore the spare tire cover is that a lost cause? Mine is all mangled and I'd love to restore it and add some more support to it so it can actually hold a little weight.

San Jose is a bit far from San Diego 7-8h drive, I think I would drive at night to get their in the daytime

Ive been to 9 Junkyards and most Eclipse's have been devoured, including the front windshield! I have been very lucky to find several parts though.

Sadly no I have not! ): some guy that posted on here I believe was telling me about how he restored his trunk cover himself. I am going to go to a upholstery place to get my headliner redone, I shall ask them if they can do my drunk as well and let you know how that goes! Might not be original , but better then having a hole there!

It should yes, and no problem man! I remember I was just like you when I started out 3 yrs ago. Clueless about DSMs and full of questions! Always happy to help a fellow DSM'r!

I think I'm going to try to moisten and flatten it. If that works I'll try some fiberglass mat/resin to reinforce it. Going to do this in a few days. Ill let you know how it goes.
