So yeah, my AGP RS49 decided to eat my intake filter. Don't ask.

The housings are fine, hell even the compressor wheel looks fine, but its just not boosting anymore. So I need to find a place to buy a CHRA for cheap as I depleted my budget on a built tranny.

Where can I get one?

 So let me get this straight... your intake air filter broke apart and was ingested by your turbo and there it caused you to have massive shaft play (from the particles pushing against your compressor)???????????????????WTF

Go to importevolution.com. they seam to have very, very affordable ball bearing CHRAs.

Make sure you check you compressor cover. Chances are that the wheel has contacted the cover if the shaft play is very bad. Then you will need a new cover as well.

We've got plenty of CHRAs in stock, Garrett and Turbonetics. Give us a ring or shoot an email over to [email protected] We got you covered.

Ok, now that i'm not as pissed off anymore. Here is what happened. The homemade intake i constructed didn't have any supports or anything it was just a 3" u-bend pipe wih a 3" AEM filter on it. Well, the filter just rested on the chassis and after a while (not that long may I add) the jittering motion started a tear on the screen material and the suction just propagated the tear. It took in a good sized chunk of screen/cloth material.

Weird thing is, shaft play is normal, compressor blades look undamaged, the velocity stack right at the turbo inlet is a little dinged up from FOD. Going to pull the intercooler probably this weekend when I can down a bottle of Patron while doing so. Still won't boost though even though the turbo appears to be ok.

I'd take cool pictures had I not sold my Nikon D70 for the built tranny.

However, Ben. After doing a bit of homework looks like a CHRA from you guys is the best deal if I officially label this one as dead.
