Adam that's crazy. I'm glad that you achieved your goals and that some of your old problems have been resolved. Congrats on your first engine build, i know you gotta feel good about that. It's no surprise that you got pulled over in that race car, but i can't believe one of the cops was a mitsu fan HAHA. Good to hear your getting some break in miles on it. You really do deserve a WIN with that car man. Keep it up.

As for mine, I'll probably have some time to mess with it and check those ecu wires later this week or this weekend. It's supposed to be cold as balls this weekend though. I found a metal shelf that must have fallen off of someones truck on the side of the road today, it was still there when i went by again so i threw it on the roll back and dropped it off at my truck. Used it to get some more organized in the garage. Tonight was the first bit of time i cleaned up a bit. Still lots of boxes to be unpacked. at the house.

Damn.....I tried to fix my grammer and accidently deleted my post.. :(

That's cool the house is coming along..I am anxious to see your car go down the track soon man. I just hope Ill be there finally with you guys..(Tony,Matt,Bob,Ryan,Russ)ect..

This has definitly been a learning experience. The first motor was fun, but this one was truley my first entire motor install. It's a very tedious task micing journals, filing rings, checking clearences, torquing it all to spec ect..I'm just glad it's done for now. I don't think im down to do that again this year. It's a lot of $ getting the proper tools and just a lot of work doing it all. I guess it's good having the stuff to do it though because I'm sure one of these Eagle rods will be out the back of the block before to long.LOL.Like all of us, It's just a matter of time. If my motor lasts a season of continuious weekend track outings, Ill be a happy camper.

So I checked compression after only 5 miles, and it's 153-154-152-154.. :thumb:

Good numbers Adam!! This is too my first motor build, and should be a fun experience. Anyone know the torque specs for arp main's, and rod bolts?

Adam good to hear you got the car on the road again, the track will be open before we know it. That was some story about the cops, did they pull you over for the historic plates or the fuel cell hanging off the back.

Haha.. I think it was combination of both. I did pass a few cops the first go round as they seem to sit right behind my house and try to catch people on radar all the time, so Im sure they were interested in finding what this thing was about legality wise. The one cop said he saw me a few weeks ago "fixing my role bar" ?:hmm: I guess he was thinking my swingouts? He also said that he loves the 1G sleeper. LOL This mind you wasnt the cop that said he used to rape 5.0's in his 11 second Evo 8 all the time.." At the track of course".

I think they were just feeling me out and making sure I was legal for the street. At first he said only Fri/Sat/Sunday but then at the end he said I just need to have a purpose. I asked him if I could go to the gas station as my purpose and he said yea. :hmm: Well why did you pull me over in the first place. I really dont plan on bringing out the garage more than weekends really anyway so Im not sweating it. If I do go out Ill just say Im going to a private meet.

Tonight I got the retarded itch to mess with the car and try to dial in some things more. Once again she started right up, went through it's typical warmup cycle, then just sat there chopping away. I do have to slighty keep my foot on the gas until about 140-150 degrees, but without a ISC and havnig a blockoff plate, this is expected. I can totally live with that. I'm still waiting for a bearing to spin or watch my oil pressure drop to zero. That last casualty has me paranoid I guess. Next time out I'm gonna lay in it one good time. I think if all is well I'm gonna do a boost leak test and drop the 1650's in it. The stock 450's wont even hold my WG spring's worth of psi. It's about 18lbs... I was going a little lean. 11:5 -11:8 area...

11.5-11.8 lean? That's what I aim for LOL. But yeah, you have some cool cops around you, I need them near me. They always be hassling me :(. Guess the tint does not help ahaha.

Yea I wouldn't say all of them, but the one was cool.

Any word on the troubleshooting? How is the house coming along? That garage is the shiznit man. I couldn't have something like that. I'd probably hoard DSM parts to no end if I had that kinda space. You see the way my garage is now so I could only imagine. It's awesome though..

I haven't had a chance to look at the car anymore yet. I'm hoping this weekend i can pull the ecu and check wires 60 & 61 and trace them to see if there are any issues in the wiring itself. Lately when i get home i eat dinner unpack some boxes and then call it a night. I did how ever spend some time in the garage making more room. I have two rows of cabinets to install, top and bottom, that are sixteen feet long. Once i mount those up I should have a good place for everything which should free up even more space. You would love to have this much room, but i know over time you would need more space LOL. Hoping to organize more and work on the laser some this weekend.

Really wish the place im at had one:( i need to go througg my engine bay and tidy up and clean the snot out of it. Soon as i get this damn oil pan leak issue fixed ill be good. But doin a oil change one a month is not good. Ugg wish i did. My talin needs some very well deserved lovin

Don't feel bad, I waited anxiously for ten years to have a garage. I plan to do some more in depth cleaning and modding now that i have a permanent place for the laser, but then again, my first child is due next month so there goes that idea LOL

Nah man..all you gotta do is make sure you clear a spot next to your laser so that little curtain climber can sit and watch daddy.. You can hit the two-step every 5 seconds and put him to sleep... It may sit a little at first, but you can't let it sit to long. That bolton record is screaming your name.

Whoo, More things ordered for the talon. This time to finish the NOS setup. 75 Wet Shot. Think this may help gettin out the hole:). Gonna see if I can get everything done by next Saturday. I shall see. Still no tax return:( I really want to get that VRSF Front mount really bad LOL

VRSF is ordered. And also a MHI 20g is gonna be built...car should be a rocket once everything is done and tuned. Also ordered 6 puck unspeung clutch. F1 could not dind a xtd. Should be great

Were you at MIR Chris? I'm trying to think if we have meet?

Ryan...did you get the block back? How's it coming?

Update on my car is I have about 15 miles on it so far and working on the combined fuel trims during cruise on SD. At 16lbs my IDC is 110% and am jumping into the 12.1-12.5 range. Looks like these 1650's are going in next. Last night I had a scare driving as I did a pull and blew both my intercooler pipe and an Injector wire came off. I knew the pipe blew off as I had only threw it on to drive down the block, but it was running like crap like I had bent valves or something. I checked all the Injector clips and they were good. Thank god I threw a code and found it was a actual wire that had backed out of the connector. Basically I was running on 3 cylinders. I got everything buttoned up today and she is pulling good for the half a second I can stay in it...Haha.. I can't wait till I can stay in it and do a real pull. I really like this turbo though from what I can see so far. Boost comes on pretty quick for its size.

MIR is Next saturday. Im hoping all my parts come in and Im able to get everything on and running by then. May need some help.

Adam Im guessing your just running pump gas now for thr break in, Im looking forward to see what it does with the boost turned up.

Adam, got my motor back friday, and wow does it look pretty. Motor is assembled, and dropped in, im done for the night, but tomorrow will have it running.

Awesome Ryan. It's a lot of work man. Your on a role getting things together. Keep up the good work.

Yea pump gas. Like I said I've ran out of injector so I gotta throw the 1650's in. I'm a little hesitant to change any variables because its actually running good. They need to go in ASAP. After CA..

Man you guys don't waste any time. Glad to hear it's going together well and that you are happy with the work. Just take your time and check everything, cause your not going to want to pull that thing back out any time soon once it's done, trust me...or just ask Adam.

I know the feeling man. When these things are running good, you really don't want to touch anything at all.

:notgood: As for my car, it's on the back burner for another few nights or so or maybe till next weekend. Last night we lost power in about half the house and then smelt a burning smell coming from our washing machine. Unpluged the machine and messed with the breakers and the lights soon came back on. Since this happened last night our heat pump and well pump have not worked as well as the dryer.

I replaced the 30 and 60 amp fuses for the heat pump unit inside and out but still no operation. Used 110V/220V tester on the dryer plug and got nothing from it. The washer plug is reading 110 as it should. Talked the home depot guy and bought some new breakers as well but i have to remove fuse panel cover to get to them so now my wife's father is on his way to make sure i don't zap my self stupid.

I'm hanging out in the house with my winter coat on and can't take a shower, this blows. The only good part about this is, the laser is just chillin in the garage patiently waiting for me to get caught up on all this crap.

Ileagle is ALIVE!! Started her up, she sounds nice and solid, after some soft driving to and from work, im going to romp on her and start tuning.
