Well guys.... got everything back from the machine shop and started assembling the motor Saturday evening. I put all new ACL race bearings, filed rings, new polished crank, new Eagle rod replacing the damaged one, and slapped her together. Between plastigauging everything, getting the ring gaps correct, assembling the motor, dropping it in and hooking everything up, it took me about 20 hrs total.

She started right up and the motor was very easy to dial in considering ignition timing was way off and I was by myslef running back and forth. The motor feels a lot smoother than before and am very pleased so far with the progress. My fuel trims are acceptable from my base map and I was able to actually drive the car right away with no problems at all. I don't know of it made a difference, but changing to a new Bosch front 02 I think helped a lot. I don't have the problem I had before on startup and am not over fueling from what I can tell. Only time will tell of course, but for now I am very pleased with this weekend....

Now its time to do what I set to do the first time.....only this time I'm forward facing filter housing..

Thanks Ryan. To be honest, it seems as though its all to good to be true and something bad is bound to happen. But....So far everything has fell into place nicely so I'm gonna keep praying.. I had a very strict plan for the last few weeks and thanks to having my ducks fall perfect inline, everything so far has worked out. Just don't be surprised if tonight when I put some miles on it I have a huge FML next to my screen name. ...

How's the motor coming together yourself? You get it back from the machine shop?

Also...It looks as though I'm not going to need that HX40. I appreciate it though...

Lol, hey man, everyone needs a break, perhaps it's your turn. And my motor is coming along. I get it back thursday/friday. I am collecting the final pieces to the puzzle as we speak. Small things like gaskets, break-in oil, etc.
