Did you feel a decent increase in torque? Hopefully everything I ordered comes in early this week. How long would it take to do a clutch? I may do mine before saturday. Already gonna plan on the pan either Thursday or friday. Im doin a new tune right now. Gonna try to get that dialed in with no meth just 93. Then add timing to it for meth. Wish there was someone close to help LOL.

Just ordered AFPR rail adapter and 6AN 90 Barbed fitting.

Ileagle is ALIVE!! Started her up, she sounds nice and solid, after some soft driving to and from work, im going to romp on her and start tuning.

Way to go Ryan.!!! I know that's a good feeling to have it start up after all that work. Believe me I know... What did you set your ring gaps at? What did your main and rod clearences come out to be? And what grade oil?

You running an HX40 with that stroker should be a torque monster. Your drivetrain is gonna hate you..haha That thing is gonna rip from a dig, roll, you name it.. What are the goals for your setup track wise or don't you have any?

Ring gaps are .0018 (18 thousanths) and I don't know, I did not plastigauge, but since everything was fresh, I am praying  it's all in spec. And for breakin I am running 10w 30 pennzoil, then 10w 40 royal purple in winter, and 20w 50 royal purple in summer until i run out of my stock, then to brad penn.

At the moment, I am running my 20g, as I need a new manifold for the holset to work, but I can already feel the extra torque and quick spool from the 2.3. Can't wait to have some fun!

I can't wait to see all you guys Dsms I know there are a lot in the area but i never seem to run into anyone. I started to lose hope a little i'm in baltimore city and theres plenty of hondas but i always got my eye open for dsms. Hope we can get something rolling come spring time, that would be awesome....

Lol, .018 is correct. .0018 is just shy of 2 thousanths.

May of found a 4 bolt swap. This thing is gonna be one hell of a damn build ill tell you what. Anyone free thursday possibly? Ill be heading to Westminster do install new oil pan. Wondering if anyone wants to tag along. Ill have my VRSF in as well. And maybe new turbo...:) also my NOS stuff came in. Some of it. Fogger and 2 AN lines

FML. My VRSF Front mount came in. Its for a 2G. They sent me the wrong kit:(

I'd probably take out my sawzaw and make it work. More wieght savings..:hellyeah:

Seriuosly...What are the differences? They both have outlets on the back but the 2G is what higher on one side? Id cut my entire radiator support out and make it work. I cut the crap out of mine and is nothing more than the top bar that runs across that holds the radiator brackets. I then braced it when I was done. It may be worth the trouble.

They already shipped the 1G one tonight

So im working on a possible Bluetooth datalog connector. Thought id let yall know. I got the adapter. Just need to make the time to do some soldering and makein stuff and then seeing if it works. If it does itll be pretty damn sweet I think

Anyone free and would like to help replace oil pan with me tonight? Headin to Westminster to use a buddy lift and garage

Well i need helo. My buddy with a lift fell through. So i need helo with oil pan and front mount install. Tryin to figure out what to do. Got drag racing tommorow

I take it "helo" means help?

Help is good when it comes along, but you need to learn to do things yourself. Get yourself a jack and two jackstands. Thats all you need to get under that thing and get to work. Drop the crossmember's which is a few bolts and your right at the oil pan. The front mount is basically just being creative. My ETS has nothing more to mount it than two small little tabs welded to the top. I had to make some braces to run from the radiator support to the lower crash beam to have it hang off. I didnt have a welder so I had to get creative and I riveted them as oppsed to welding. It actually turned out pretty good. Once the intercooler is hung, the piping is the easy part. You just gotta suck it up and do it man. I know it's cold and all, but believe me It can be done. I have nothing but your basic handtools, a jack, some jackstands, and I have taken my car apart and built it twice...

Have fun.. What track you going to?

Only problem is that i do not have a garage or a car park. I live in a development. Im using my phone and it hates cooperating

Yeah Chris, those are not optimal conditions for working on a DSM in the winter. Adam does have a garage, but all of the work he has done the past few months has been outside. You may want to invest in some coveralls and some cold gear, like he said, it sucks but it can be done. Oil pans on our cars kinda suck I know, might be better to wait till a warmer day rolls around.

Only update for me is that I'm a daddy now. My son was born Feb 15th and he was almost two months early but thank god he is doing great. We just moved to westminster and haven't fully unpacked and the babies room needs to be set up since Jack will be coming home soon. I'll be working getting house stuff done and once that's done i'll be trying to diagnose why the laser isn't getting fuel in cyl 3&4. I haven't touched the car in weeks. Once the laser is running I'd like to try installing my rear toe eliminators and rear poly sub frame bushings. This is all permitting time with being a new parent and all.

I also need to order a timing belt and water pump for m '91 colt and do some other work to it and then get tags for it if i get it running/braking better. I plan on using that to drive to and from work since my truck is burning about $20 in gas a day now. I think Matt may be coming up this weekend so maybe we'll get a chance to tinker with the green car. I still need to set up the garage more. Stuff is everywhere and i need to buy stuff like drop light, air compressor ect.

Also it just wasnt installing the front mount. I had to replace the oil pan. Now I need to cut the crash beam in order to get the bumper cover back on. And having weird issues with my BOV. Drag racing will need to wait till next time:( New clutch came in at least. Gonna see when I can do that now.

congrats on becoming a Father!

MIR, No go for me:( got a big issue with the BOV. And I have to put my IAT sensor it. I just plugged it in so I could get home. Not car

Chris...

Let me be clear when saying I was simply trying to give you words of encouragment rather than down you saying to do it yourself. Im currently not in the area so my help can only come over the forums at this point. I have a couple sets of jackstands your welcome to, but as I said I cant do anything at the moment. The front mount looks awesome and didn't look to hard to install considering it has mounting tabs for a 1G. Like Travis said, I do have a garage but have done all my work outside (Mostly during the night). What is the goal with the car track wise????????????

Travis.....

Im very excited for you man. That is just awesome. I know two months early seems like it's a big deal but at the stage of the baby's development the last few months is basically just a final strengthening period. Like I told you, my daughter was 9 weeks early and after a few days she came home with us.. Man that is awesome. Your going to be a good dad. Post a picture man..
Screw the laser and colt for a few weeks and enjoy your new baby!!:D

I hear ya. Sorry if i sounded agitated or something. Im a lill confused by mounting tabs for a 1G? They sent a 2G kit. They hired some new guys LOL. The day I called they had sent out the correct kit. It wasnt too hard. Sure is tight inside the bay though. I had to make do with some rather larg hammers to get it to fit. Gonna see if I can head over to a friends to use either Oxy-Acetlyne torch or a cut off wheel to the the crash beam so i can get the front end back together. Also I gotta retap for meth nozzle and NOS fogger. And do the dodge mod on my BOV.

haha, i have taken a couple on my high tech Nokia bar phone which does not connect to the internet or a computer but my wife took some on her nice Cannon that we will have to upload. We will take more soon too. Every day he gets cuter and more baby like. His hair is so thick, my wife and I both held him tonight for about a half hour each. He stared at her while she held him and he slept peacefully while i held him which made me feel good since I feel like he's too fragile to hold most of the time. Pics to come.

TRAVIS!!!! Where's the pictures of the baby man!

I second that! Post up some pics Travis!!

My build is coming along. I'm waiting on a few fittings, IC piping and the piping for my downpipe. Going to tack everything up on the stand, then hopefully drop it in this weekend. should be fun....
