When starting car it idles to redline

1G/AWD, stock overall.

When you start the car the idle begins to climb and will reach redline and bounce off from the rev limiter. Sounds like an ISC although hard to know for sure. Please help!

Normally the idle position switch would be closed and you would get surging rather than the RPM climbing to redline. On a 1G the IPS is on the back side of the throttle body next the the throttle pulley. There should be a green wire attached to it.

You check the throttle cable? It could be bound up maybe.
