o.k....one newbie to another, use the search and check out vfaq's, mine was cured by poly motor mounts. and alittle finesse off the line, but be careful! You can do some real damage to your car until you get this fixed.

When your running at the track run your air pressure down to 15psi on the front tires. That helps, just don't drive around town like that.

1. Polyurethane motor mount inserts (Prothane)
2. Better, stickier tires
3. Limited Slip Differential

These three modifications would pretty much eliminate wheel hop (they did for me :thumb: ) The LSD will be a little on the expensive side, but you can always opt for the insert if it better fits your budget.

A good set up of shocks and springs can greatly help eliminate wheel hop. If you invest in a set of, oh, say KYB AGX shocks w/ Eibach springs then setting the fronts softer than the rears seem to help quite a bit.
And, just as everyone else has said, my wheelhop significantly has been reduced when I installed my set of Prothane Engine mounts. I have no LSD at the time, and right now I have nearly no wheel hop so I would say the LSD is the last thing you need in that setup.

Of course you have no wheel hop - you have zero traction! :tease: :p

But I agree. A stiff rear and a soft front will help control weight transfer and that will aid in decreasing wheel hop. :thumb:

I have heard different rumors about the sway bars. Most people say they will help but some people say you should get both and some people say just the back or just the front. Once and for all which is the best to decrease traction issues?

I used to have a front sway bar on my car. It didn't help me eliminate wheel hop at all. It anything, it only got in the way of working on the motor.

The above parts are the best for eliminating wheel hop. For the cheapest, quickest difference, get the Prothanes.

No no no! A front, rear, or combo of both sway bars will not give you any decrease in wheel hop.

Let me try to explain what a sway bar does. As you know, a sway bar bots to both the shock tower mounts, in the front and rear. What this does is reduces body roll of the car by giving the cars body a more ridgid structure. This means less flex in the corners, and only benifits turning.

So, if you think about it, a good setup of sway bars helps reduce flex left and right, not up and down, which in other words results in wheel hop.
