I had my front passenger side tire blow out on my 91 GSX. It looks like the wheel is still attatched and the tire has come off of the actual wheel. I have removed all of the (nutsts?) from the wheel in order to remove it and it looks like it is just resting on the (bolts?), but I can't seem to remove it. I have changed a lot of tires, and I know how it should be working. I just don't know if I am missing something. There is a part in the center that has a cotter pin looking like it is holding something in place. I would really like to get this wheel/tire removed so I can replace it and put it up for sale. Thanks for any advice.

Kick it. There is nothing else holding it on. Seriously. Quit typing and go kick it. It'll pop off. What happens is you heat weld your rim to your axel nut. Just break the weld. You can punch it also if you'd like but I'd recommend kicking it.

greatly agree with you man.... also heat up the studs to before kicking it, it may help a bit..

try not to pry it against the wheel well, im not sure if dsm are the same, but my mothers taurus wheel was stuck on like that, and my dad decided it was a good idea to use the tire tiron to pry it off and dented the wheel well pretty bad

Yea like defiant said, sometimes REALLY stuck, me kicking it wasnt good enough to break it free. I used a 4x4 wooden post and knocked in behind the tire outward. IT popped right off.

what we do at work to get those damn wheels off is put a lug back on and kick it from the inside out...so you won't hurt your rim when it goes flying off!! LOL...your closer to the ground than we are..soo hehe..it might be a little funnier. GOOD LUCK :thumb:

do what he said but if you can't kick it... take a rubber malet and hit it as hard as you can...thats what we do at work....works like a charm! LOL!

like the guy before me said...if kicking it doesnt work use a "bfh"....big f*cking hammer.
