Explain me please what is so wrong with 7bolts blocks? It's clear why head and intake is a better choice, but Why to go with 6bolts during complete rebuild (2.3L stroker maybe)?
 
The short answer: Nothing. The 6-bolt was burlier but also had a lot more parasitic loss. If you are getting a stroker then you are already replacing the one part of the engine that has a bad history: The crank and its solft thrust bearing journal.
