What's up with the small turbine/compressor exducers on my SB GT30R?

I just got a large shipment of slowboy goods, every thing seems to be in good order. I ordered all my lines, fittings, fuel mods, maf and translater plus a turbo and a manifold (mani is on back order though) but i was just wondering about the exducers.

What is the point in buying a big ass turbo (gt30r is not huge but kinda big LOL) when it has the same exducers. heres some rough measurements I took with a ruler off the GT3076R and my T25

GT3076R:

turbine
2.5 inch inducer
2.25 inch exducer

compressor
4 inch inducer
1.75 exducer

T25:

turbine
1.75 inch inducer
2.25 inch exducer

compressor
1.75 inch inducer
1.75 inch exducer

Now I am no technical genius but where does all this extra air the big inducers bring in gonna go when they try to fit through T25 intake/exhaust exducers? Is this how it is with all you 50 trim guys, cause i know alot of you guys have bolt on 50 trims..........

just wondering, thanks guys.

indeed, I likely am. instead of inducer and exducer let's just call em both holes.

The intake holes on my turbo got bigger, but the exhaust holes are the same as a t25. A 3 inch O2 housing will fit horribly

even a 2.5 inch is too big..........

first pic is the SBR turbo exhaust outlet wich is identical to a t25

heres the compressor out lets side by side. Seems like a big step to 2.5 inch intercooler piping

And last but not least heres the waste gate flappers, I swear it looks to me like their the same exact size. The one on the gt30r has a big machine spot where a big ass flapper could fit though but I dunno.

Take a look at the flapper from slowboys website also on a gt3076r, I'm wondering if I got hosed for a weenie flapper........ :|

the exducers can be small because the air is going so fast, so pressurized and so hot that they can get away with it. just physics.

If you take the comp. cover and turbine housing off of each turbo you'll see the wheels and the true differences. The inlet and discharge of the castings usually isn't where the restrictions are. They are also designed to connect with your existing exhaust/intake parts. Like other person said, just put it on :thumb:

Well I arranged with slowboy to trade up for a full garrett. I'm still using an internal gate, but since slowboy does not have their T3 casting ready yet I had to swap out my SBR cast mani for a SS DNP manifold. It cost a little more money but I think it is worth it in the long run.

The header flows better, as well the turbine outlet is bigger.

Thanks for your feedback guys.
