Whats this hole for on my cold air intake?

Ok I got a cold air intake off eBay and put it on my car, but theres a "hole" on the bottom half that wasnt on my stock intake......so I dont have anything to put there. I was just wondering if it was supposed to be like that or if something is supposed to go there. Any help would be awesome, btw it doesnt drive bad or anything like it is, I guess Im more worried about passing smog when I get back to Cali

It sounds like you bought a turbo intake. That hole is for the BOV recirc tube.

The 4G63 and 420A intake pipes have no similarities.

hmmm, it fit perfectly all except for the hole.......damn eBay........Oh well, I can figure out something to do with it, JB weld or juss leave it open, intill something gets sucked into it.....yeah Ill patch it up with something thanx guys

A picture would be quite helpfull as turbo intakes have quite a few holes in them.

PCV Valve... there should be a hole similar in size coming off the back end of your valve cover. Run a hose and connect the two.

No it didnt look like that, I dont know how to upload pix into a thread, but it has 1 hole/port up top by the valve cover, I connected that one to the valve cover, no brainer, but the other one is further down, about level with my block, and there was no such hole/port on my stock intake, so I dont know what, if anything, it goes to, but Ive been driving it for about 200 miles now and had no problems, just kinda scared something might get sucked up in it since its not filtered, just a hole

You got a CAI right? and the hole that you speaking off is after it bends down right? If it is then you should of gotten a cap like thingy, just plug it in and forget about it. i've got the same hole as you, i can provide pics if you need. i forgot what its for but its useless, just plug it and forget about it.
