Ebay air filter on cold air intake

A while back I bought an ebay cold air intake. The piping is great, but I was wondering if the filter that came with it is any restriction. Would it make that much of a difference if I got a K&N or a Cool Blue?

depending on the filter adn your mods id say probably not.. maybe 1hp more but i wouldnt if you already have a filter

i seriously doubt it would help..maybe if its a really crappy filter..i mean REALLY

even a pep boys 15 dollar filter is a vast improvement over the stock paper element filter. id say youre fine with the one that came with it, as long as it has the ablilty to be recharged with the recharging kit. do you have a link to the auction? that could help us better see the filter if its a "good" cheap kind or a "bad" cheap kind.

If its a K&N style, it will be fine. However, I tend to think the velocity stack style air filers (like the Apex) are the absolute best.
