I was at walmart the other day and I was looking at the products there. They had lucas for stopping trans fix. This is it:

Code:
http://www.lucasoil.com/products/display_products.sd?iid=29&catid=9&loc=show

It says on their site to:

Use in any transmission for preventative maintenance

Do you guys think this is a good idea? I just read the thing over at bob the oil guys site and I'm not sure anymore. I also saw other products at walmart, one claimed that if you only had 100k miles or less on your car, and if you bought the product you'd get a 50k warranty on your auto tranny.

Do these automatic tranny additives work that good or is it better to invest my money into an automatic transmission cooler? My car is a dd / strip car (on the weekends) and i just have intake/exhaust & a 35 shot of NoS. I beat on the car a lot so i want to make sure my auto tranny doesnt get to hot, so please recommend me the best option.

I've already tried searching a lot so please don't tell me to search. thanks for your time

Since the OP is an NT, he's got the Chrysler tranny attached to a 420A which I'd leave it alone with ATF+4 and call it good.

A cooler is recommended on any tranny that the coolant flows through the radiator, for I'd bypass that radiator with its own radiator. Funny though, U-haul has some interesting add-on coolers to use which I'm sure they would work.

Gah, my mistake. I was just searching trans cooler and I ended up here, wasn't paying enough attention after sifting through so much crap. Deleted.

I've read that for an aftermarket trans cooler, you should use a 6 tube model. If you use a larger one, especially in colder climates, you will have trouble shifting into 3rd on cold mornings.
