Hey guys how's it going? I searched the forums a lot before posting this and didn't find the answer, so please don't tell me to search.

What's the best transmission fluid to use in a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS N/T Automatic with 131,000 miles?

Please keep this stuff in mind when suggesting if you can:

1) The tranny flush was done about 5,000 miles ago. Not sure what was put in or what filter was used, but supposedly it was some "good stuff" :p

2) I just did an oil change today and checked my tranny fluid after doing that and noticed it was just a tad bit low, but still low enough to concern me. I was told that Lucas full synthetic for trannys was put in when the flush was done.

This could be the reason why my fluid isn't lower because honestly it takes a lot of abuse.

I just want to know what's the best one to use for my car? Should I use what Mitsubishi suggests, and if so what do they suggest?

Or should I use something well known like Amsoil or Royal Purple. Keep in mind that $ is not an issue when picking my fluids so please suggest the best for my needs. I beat on the car a lot and redline 1st & 2nd quite often.

Thanks for your time guys.

I would use any name brand in my opinion. Lucas Oil or royal purple is fine. Just dont use the cheap stuff
