What's that worst thing that happened to you when you got your DSM?

damn sorry to hear that, fellow dsmer at my school was going around a turn a lil too fast and it was a little wet out, well he claims it was black ice, either way, he kept going stight instead of turning, goes over the curb and messes the car up kind of bad, he even broke one of the spokes off of the stock rims, and then his sisters bf tried driving his car back to his house 1.5 miles away, and ended up ruining the springs and struts, 4-5 months later, he has it back now. new bumper, fenders, rims, side skirts, rear bumper on back order, new chrome ill. paint job. car was within a few dollars of being totalled, i know its not bad like some peoples here, thought id add it to the list though

the worst thing hapen to me is when i made a hole in my pistons and got raped by a mechanic,change the whole 7 bolt block mechanic lied to me told me that i had crack on my block ,so i go ahead and order a new block and put it in. after 6 monhts it walked on me trying to get a warrantty on it and never get it .i guess every body get ripped off first time.

Hmm,
Bout a week after I bought the car (in Sioux Falls for all you SD ppl) I took it to have the timing belt changed. Took it to the Toyota dealer in Rapid becasue I heard the former head mechanic from Jacob's (the Mitsu Dealer in rapid) worked for Toyota. [The guys at Jacob's are complete asses if you're not 45 and looking to buy a new car. IMO]

Anyways, the guy replaces the belt, TRIES to fire it up...it throws the belt. Grats me... can we say "valve-job?" Toyota now owes me a valve job...so a week later after they order parts, I get my car back and it's running like my 83' chrysler e-class. Erm... uncool. Come to find out, the mechanic was about 3 sheets to the wind and totally fux0red my spark plug wires. He thought i was full of shit and wanted to take it for a test drive. Three gears and 80 mph later through the construction zone on Omaha I realize that he's still pretty damn drunk. We get back (barely) I tell the mechanic where he can stick it, pay the bill for the timing belt, replace my plugs and wires and have been gtg ever since.

Lesson learned.

I had just got my car back from the shop and and on my way home was racing my friend in his Dodge Shadow Shelby, then all of a sudden I had no boost, I thought my IC hose from the turbo popped off so I drive into the neighborhood and all of a sudden white smoke starts pouring out the exhaust, I couldn't even see the cars coming around the corner behind me. So we tow it home and look at it and the stock turbo was blown, oredered my FP big 16g and instlled it and it ran fine. Last week I went out racing my friends 5.0 beat him from a stop then we raced from a roll on the way back down the street we were on and my brakes heated up and I ran into curb and went up onto a dirt bank. My stock intercooler is bent and my 2 passenger side Motegi rims are scratched up, and my bumper is scratched with a little dent on the front right quarter panel. But everything is running fine now.

I painted my vavle cover the other day and the heat shield. Took out the oil dipstick so i could get that heat shield back on. Forgot to put dip stick back in. Car caught on fire.

about 2 days after i got the car...Decided to gun it up an S-bend hill..oops....Car coming out of driveway at top didnt see me so i had to drift that shit sideways and onto the other side of the road with a freakin explorer coming my way. Luckily i got the car on the right side of the road. Only problem was trying to get my heart to stop going 200mph. Car was going about 65 or 70mph.

I had a rear tire blow out on the way home from spending the weekend with my boyfriend (ryan95tsiawd) at midnight in the middle of BFE with no jack or lug wrench. The highway patrol tried to help but my car was too low for them to get the jack under it so I had to wait for 3 hours for a friend to bring me a jack. We thought that his lug wrench would work...wrong. We had to find a Wal-Mart and buy a 4 way. Finally got the tire changed at 4 in the morning!! Got home a lil' after 6 am and went to work at 8. All that after a 6 1/2 hour drive!!! This was not a good trip home.


Oh and I let two friends (total morons) put a 16g killer on my car. They decided to weld the 02 housing to the turbo, fried the bearings and left me stranded. My car sat for 2 months. Needless to say the turbo did not get paid for and I no longer hang out with those idiots.

The balance shaft broke and put a hole in the side of the block, 12 miles away from the guy's house I just bought it at. 130 miles from my house. 116 dollars later its sitting at my girlfriends house waiting for a 6 bolt.

got in a wreck bout a month after gettin the eclipse.a school bus was passing me while i was stopped to turn left.so this lady in a lincoln decides to pass the bus on the right while shes following it to close to see around it.so she passes,slams in2 a truck behind me,spins him around,his passenger door hits my bumper,puts a hole in it,explodes my taillight,and shoots my antenna several feet into the air,which i never found.both cars were totaled and mine was 1800 bucks for a taillight,bumper,antenna,and paint.so i bought a body kit and clear tails,.

my 83 camry died and i finally got a nice car. my esi (little did i know then at 16 that i wanted a tsiawd which i now have) anyway, the day after i got the car, it was insured that morning at like, 10am. Went to lunch (from school) and at 1pm on the way back decided not to race a friend of mine. this put me in the perfect spot to get rammed by a 45 year old woman in a BMW as i changed to the left lane where it goes to the stop sign to turn left. She was originally turning into a previous driveway and decided to try and pass me going 55 in the turn lane for like....500 feet. Smacked me right in the driver door. Somehow i wasn't hurt even though when i looked back in there the door had been pushed into the seat. anyway, fixed the car, drove it for 2 years, then i just got my tsiawd. Now im selling the old one. best part is they blamed me for the accident

Happened 2 nights ago:

I was driving home from the races at 3 am, on the highway. I clutched in, shifted to 5th, and my clutch pedal stuck to the floor. WTF! I pulled it back up by hand, but there was no pedal pressure. I drove 20 miles in 5th and coasted through my offramp (still in 5th). I made a right turn into a parking lot and turned the car off. Called for a tow and waited 1 hour. Finally I said screw it, and decided to drive home in 1st gear for 1 mile. I put the car in first and started it up. It stuttered really bad from starting in 1st gear, and I fought to keep it alive by giving it gas. It kept jerking and I snapped my rear axle. DOH!

I just bought my awd talon sunday. On monday i took it to the shop think'n that only the syncro's' needed to be replaced. wrong!!! it needed 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear, barrings, adn not to mention the transfer case and the rest of the awd system was bad. parts alone was 2100 with labor its a lil' over 2300. I haven't even drive'n it for more than a day. But I pick it up tonight i cant wait

the day I was leaving the house of the previous owner right after buying it and shifting into 2nd and noticing a loud grind. Since then it grinds everyday...I just want to know if the grinding will get worse if I just shift into 2nd normally without caring if it grinds.

After bringing my car home from walla walla to yakima needless to say the car is flawless not one flaw that i can see. Well everything was fine i get home and my girlfriend says lets go get your pics from lasvegas. So we go to target to pic up the pics we are looking at them in my car in the parking lot. Then i hear BAM!!!!! SCREEEECH!!! on the passanger side of my car i like and its a F###### shopping cart sumone didnt put away put a nice scrtacth from the rear quarter all the way to the front fender along with two dents. I had only had the car for about 5hours. But i used to work at a detail shop in yakima so i took it there and buffed most the scratch out.

Got my 1990 Talon and immediately had to have the T belt done ( 1K for that one ). Then I find out that the motor has horrible crankwalk a coupe of months layta. When I bought the car I didn't really notice that the clutch pedal would hit the floor on hard left turns Always get used cars checked. The 90 talon had 3/8 in crankshaft endplay. My 2G 7 bolt w/ 126K is still within factory tolerences. Go figure

my motor blew my dad took to a gas station next to us. than stayd grounded for 11 months payd 4 gran after werds. than driving around notcing problams like the motor was over heating do to no oil took it another shop payd to get the motor rebuilt with new parts. than i have crankwalk and the company that built the motor used the wrong bolt to keep everything tight.and now i am on my 6 bolt with no probs (knock on wood). so my car has been in and out of the shop for just the motor

2 weeks after I bought my 1st Gen, on my way to work my car just dies. I can't start it back up for awhile, finally it gets going, 50 feet later im at work. I get out, the whole side of my car and wheel wells are filled with oil. The engine blew....

Thats never fun...

hit a 100lb + rotwiler the night i got it. just came out of no where and wham, i felt terrible for the dog but it was one of those things that i couldnt have avoided. it sucked, fortunately only dented the hood cracked the lower valance of the bumper and broke out my drivers side marker light.

I had my car not 24 hours and went to the gas station...and a cop backed right into my car. He caused it like $1500 in damage and needless to say since he was a cop i got railroaded.

Then 27 days later when i had had the car 28 whole days, it crankwalked. I think she hates me

But i don't let her go!
