Hey guys I am interested in seeing or making a turbo chart on what they flow and what they support up to, along with if they are a 'bolt on' or you need to mod youre car.

I just sit around and hear everyone around me tell me that the "BIG" 16G is the god of turbos, and its not. Either way I just wanted to compile a list maybe.

What they flow...
How well they install...
Where they spool...
Injector sizes needed for turbo...

It would be rather nice just to have a basic list... I know there are 'endless' turbos out there... but just the well talked about ones I'd like to see on a list (did a short, got ALOTA stuff, mixed up and not.) yanno - like the killer T-25 ROFL T-28, 16G, 20G, T3/T4, stuff like that... I just can't find a site that posts what they even flow... I think MachV has a small list...

T-25 325 CFM Max boost: 16 psi full boost: 2900 RPM direct bolt on for 2g's (250hp)

T-28 505 CFM Max boost: 22 psi Full boost: 2900 RPM direct bolt on for 2g's (340HP)

16g 505 CFM Max boost: 22 psi Full boost: 3100 RPM direct bolt on for 1g's (340HP)

20g 660 CFM Max boost: 30 psi Full boost: 3500 RPM bolts pretty easily for both cars (400HP+)

T3/T4 600-800 CFM Max boost: 20-40 psi Full boost: 3500-4500 rpm minor moding to bolt it on (350-600 HP)

T3/T4's come in 46 trim, 50, 56, 60, 62-1 trim so you need to specify which one.

Big16g 550 CFM Max boost: 25 psi Full boost: 3200 RPM direct bolt on for 1g's (350HP)

EVOIII16g 565 CFM Max boost: 25 psi Full boost: 3200 RPM direct bolt on for 1g's (400HP)

Hope that helps out. Those were on the top of my head LOL.

No one is right with labling the turbo flow for the turbo so far. :) Giving flow at 15psi boost like the above numbers is not what we're after since I don't know anyone who's even pushing a 14b run less than 18-20psi.

Compressor flow at 60% efficiency curve on map. Lb/min number based on 85*F inlet temp at 14.25PSIA:

t25. . . 27lb/min (385cfm)
13g. . . 28lb/min (400cfm)
14b. . . 34lb/min (485cfm)
small 16g. . .38lb/min (542cfm)
big 16g. . . 40lb/min (571cfm)
Evo3 16g. . . 42lb/min (600cfm)
18g. . . 46lb/min (657cfm)
20g. . . 49lb/min (700cfm)
8blade Hx35. . . 52lb/min (742cfm)
7blade hx35. . . 60lb/min (857cfm)
8blade hx40. . . 60lb/min (863cfm)
6/7blade hx40. . . 68lb/min (970cfm)

Based on the map directly:

50-trim/fpgreen/sc5031. . . 49lb/min
60-1/fpred/sc6052. . . 58lb/min
gt3076r/fp3052. . . 52lb/min
S256. . . 61lb/min
S258. . . 69ish lb/min
gt35r/fp3065. . . 63lb/min
S362. . . 72lb/min

Yes! there is a bigger difference in flow potential with a t25 or 13g (auto 1g) vs. a 14b than there is in a small 16g vs. an evo3 16g. . . And an 18g compressor is as big an upgrade to an evo3 16g compressor as the small 16g is to the 14b or evo3 16g is to the small 16g. It's close to a 20g in flow than the evo3 16g.

****The above is only half of the picture. There's turbine flow too. At least, equally important.****

For most common setups. These numbers are COMMON maximums most see. Not the record OR an easy number you can expect:

6cm^2 td05h. . . about 340whp max
7cm^2 td05h. . . about 400whp max
8cm^2 td05h. . . ???
10cm^2 td05h(hahn super 16/20g turbos). . . about 450whp
7cm^2 td06sl2. . . about 450whp
7cm^2 td06H. . . about 500whp
Bolton hx35. . . about 500whp
12cm^2 Hx35. . . about 600whp
Bolton hx40. . . about 650whp
.70 a/r BEP hx40. . . ???
18/19cm^2 hx40. . . ???
FP30(gt 30r turbine wheel). . . about 550whp
FP30(T350 turbine wheel). . . about 650whp
