I want to run a 16g turbo but i dont know what i need to upgrade in order to run it... what should I get...my car for the most part is stock...

What are you trying to accomplish by putting a 16g on there? If your looking for more boost, I'd personally recommend getting more supporting mods first.

You'd get a lot better results if you upgrade some things like fuel.

A tuned 14b with the right supportings mods would stomp all over a stock car with a 16g thrown on.

OK.... I guess i should start on that... the goal is 300mph... and i heard that the stock turbo wont help get it there

300MPH sounds very far out there. I don't know the land speed record for our cars or your budget. If your intention is really to reach 300 MPH or just to get troll response... prepare yourself.

Consider the Tech Article Section :dsm:

Well that's a different story entirely. If your car came with a 14b (manual transmission) then you can just bolt the turbo on, and run conservative boost.

Then you can source the rest of the parts to reach your HP goal in the meantime.

Stuff you'll want is DSMlink, 650cc injectors, 2g MAF and an intake pipe w/filter adapter, walbro 190, or a 255 with AFPR, MBC, and an exhaust system.
Tune, dyno test, and check back with the results.

If it's automatic, you'll need different coolant lines just to bolt it up.

I got a good laugh at it haha, I bet you started thinking mph while you were typing your hp goal... Been there done that :thumb:

As for 300hp, I assume you want to the wheels not the crank, it's not a hard number to reach by any means, but staying there reliably is a different story. I would tell you to stick with the 14b , put your money elsewhere like a way to tune, injectors, maybe an AFPR, fmic. The 14b can be a fun little turbo to put around in for your first boost experience.

You can reach 300hp without swapping turbos. You just need the right mods. With the money your planning on spending on the Turbo u can just buy the mods and get to to 300 . If you buy the Turbo you'll just be sitting in the same spot and wasted your money. Remember mods are a turbos best friends the work as a team
