Whats a good tranny fluid for a 2g turbo?

I wanna change the transmission fluid in my 98 eclipse GST but i really dont know what kind of tranny fluid i should use.

Any suggestions, please let me know. I race about once or twice a month.

i know that, but i mean like what brand and what specs are required, my car has a manual tranny. I called the dealership and they told me that i would have to get it from them cuz its some kind of special fluid and it costs $16 a quart.

Spec:
GL-4 (must be compatible with yellow metals--brass, etc.)

AMZOIL told me my car asked for a GLS-4, which they dont carry, but recommended a Texaco MTX

What brand do you use? and also do u race?

Hmmm...I went to the AMSOIL site and found GL-4 oil.

I have used BG Synchroshift II and GM Synchromesh. I don't race.

My experience is that the GM Synchromesh shifts easier at lower RPM's than the BG stuff. Either one, as well as RedLine, has it's followers.

NOTE: The GM Synchromesh is the same as Pennzoil Synchromesh, but the Pennz is much cheaper.

Either fluid because there basically the same fluid.
Both awsome and run fine in my car.

i use Pennzoil syncromesh , and its great stuff, alot better then just plain old gear lube.

After calling every performance shop in town, i found out that nobody here carries any BG Syncroshift, so i decided to contact AMSOIL and was told that any GL-4 gear lube would do for my car, so i went ahead and ordered their Series 2000 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube from the warehouse in town.

I went to the Mitsu Dealership and after they had told me on the phone that i had to purchase the fluid from them because it was somekind of special oil, they tell me that i drove down there for nothing because they didnt even have the fluid for my car and that i could use any conventional 75W-90 Gear Lube.

awww man you should have got yourself some syncromesh or syncroshift......synthetic or not, normal gear lube just inst as good as those two, normal gear lube is better used in a non syncromesh tranny or a rear differential or transfer case or something.

I just got off the phone with a sales rep for BG Syncroshift and found out who sells it in town here, i called then and was told that the price is $27.00/ qt. That is an outrages price. I havent picked up the AMSOIL yet so if you could please let me know how good it is, i will probably end up getting that.

The AMSOIL is only $7.72/ qt. and was told that it is better than Syncroshift.

27 a quart!!!!??? omfg........ive seen the BG stuff online for like 10-15 a quart....i get my penzoil for like 4.50 a quart at the local autozone. I really dunno how good the amsoil is for a synchromesh tranny, i figure its great for just plain only gears and stuff, but i would think a synchro specific gear oil would be the best for a synchromesh tranny.

Yeah but i need it for tommorow, plus you have to add shipping to that.
