What would you pay for this GSX parts car?

A guy I know has a 96 GSX. It has ~150k miles. It was a good running car, 5 speed and all. It jumped timing and warped valves. The body is in decent shape, no dents or anything. It has a bodykit on it, which doesnt add to the value at all for me. The interior is pretty clean.

I am going to try to buy the car. I want the rolling chassis. I told him he can keep his bodykit, exhaust, FMIC and piping, turbo, and all the other small mods he has done to it to get it a little cheaper. The only bad thing is that the car has aweful strut tower rust...some of the worst I have seen. I personally would never drive the car.

What would you pay for the rolling chassis?

I paid $900 for my awd that was missing an ecu, sunroof was leaking, sat for like 2 years, paint faded, hood crushed in fron and bumper dented from front collision. It's totally worth it though. I'm almost done with it

everyones answer is going to be completely different...because everyone's value of things is different. personally with the towers being that bad...motor work needing done...i wouldnt pay much more than 500 or 600 bucks. and if he wouldnt take it i would keep looking.

I'd say 500 with him keeping all that stuff. I paid 500 for my parts talon. It 95 TSi awd, 120K, manual, and it had a little body damage. I bought mine with for an awd swap. Sold just the eprom out of it and made half my money back.

Yea, I was thinking $500, just wanted to see what everyone else thinks. Im not going to fix it, I will use the drivetrain for my AWD Spyder. And I will use a few body parts and interior pieces for my GST. Actually I dont think $750 would be a bad buy, but I cant afford it.

I would probley pay $600 as long as the tranny and everything is good. you could probley get what you need and part it out for some of the money depending on what you all take. the shell is probley worth $150 at the junk yard. seems like a fairly good deal.
