ok so in was driving to work this other day and this talon caught my eye its a 94 tsi awd w/ 92,000 miles. black with new paint job it also had a centerforce clutch 2.5 buschur dp and exhaust. it said selling cause getting married best offer takes it. how much would you offer before looking it over. im gonna go tomorrow to look at it.

I believe the 94's have a 7bolt block and some say they are prone to crankwalk but that's a toucy subject. Check out the car before you make any offers, drive it and check the basics like brakes, tires, and tranny. Let us konw more after you drive it.

Look in the links for 1,000 FAQ I saw some stuff there.

yea i know im gonna check it out and test drive it and everything i was just wondering where do i start at i was thinking like 3 grand and then deducting for certain things.

3 grand is a bit of a lowball offer to start with IMO...But hey, if he goes for it, good for you!

Offer him $3 - $3.5k for it. I got mine with a few more mods than that for $3k.

yea thats what i was thinking. hey you going to the bbq on the 15th at stoney creek at noon-4 then at 4 we go to milan for drag racing

mid $3,000 is the market value on a 94 TSi AWD, so I'd offer about 3K to 4K..otherwise I'd pass. a comparison of the two, there really isn't much of a difference the mid 92 - 94s have the 7-bolt motor with a 4 bolt rear, some say are vulnerable to crankwalk but this is MAINLY the 2G 7-bolt not 1G.

alright cool, going to look at it tonight unless the guy with the 98 gsx gets back with me.

Badas93tsi, my best friend, bought his 93 completely untouched (mod wise) and in great shape w/ like 112k for $3000. That's been a year and a half ago. So 3-3500 is more than fair I'd think. Find out why it was painted, just needed it, or was there damage? Good luck :thumb:

^^ LOL this guy has no idea what he has, im gonna offer 2500. i had to restrain my laughter when he told me its a turbocharged 2.2l 4 cyl. :thumbdown i also love the nos floormats. :thumbdown sad thing is though he doesnt have the stock ones so if i buy it im gonna get clowned for having those.

Nah, just get down the street to the nearest dumpster and dispose of them properly. :shhh:

LOL no thanks ill just keep them untill i get better floormats or just keep hem they kinda look cool with the nos in flames and all
Yea also my bad he said it was supercharged i wrote turbocharged because i'm used to writing it. i as like really so where is the supercharger, then he went on to say that the hood bump the hood has came on it, i was like its supposed to be there. then he said it has a 2.5 inch dp and exhaust from buschur and fuel pump and a centerforce clutch but cant till me what model. ill take some pics of the car and the floormats when i td it.

he wanted 7 grand OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG i was like i was thinking more of the range of 4-5 then he said see ya i was like so youre pretty firm on 7 he said yea, iw as like alright ill let ya know then hes like dont miss out i was like dont worry i wont.

7K, Jeez. Who does he think he's dealing with, a sucka? Every 1G I've ever seen has been between $500 (crappy) and $4500 (mint). I paid $3400 for mine. The hood scoop is for the supercharger, huh? How could you restrain yourself from slapping that SOB?

It must have been swapped in or maybe from a different country or something because there is no DSMs after 92.5 that are 6bolt.

Interesting. I wonder if mine was built in late 92 and given a 93 title?
