how much would you pay for this 2g

I am selling my 98 GSX. It is silver exterior with grey leather interior. It has power locks, power window, moon roof, all the goodies, etc. It has approx. 58000 miles on it and comes with a few mods. It has a 6 bolt with 1g head, intake, and tb, a built race trans from BM tranny, dsmlink so that you have no worries about random misfires, and some other little stuff like an mbc and magnecore wires.

i was thinking starting with a low ball of 4 grand and then jumping up to 9-10. just for a laugh out of the guy. "ill give you four grand" "what" Pow right in the kisser. :laugh:

If I lived by you I would def. buy it off your for 10 no doubt aboub it. I currently drive a 97 GS and I love it just would love a GSX more. I know a guy by me who's selling a 99 Black GSX with like 30,000 miles on it for 17,000 but I think thats waaayyy to high.

I don't think you'd have any trouble getting 10k for that car, assuming it's mechanical and aesthetic condition reflect the miles it has. In reality, I wouldn't be suprised if a car like that got a few grand over 10.

What does it book for? If it's the one with a shot motor that you've been asking questions about, take that into consideration. At 120 psi across the board, that motor is on it's way out. Regardless if it's a 6 bolt. He's probably ragged on the car hard if his second motor is almost done too.

5 or 6K might not be a bad starting place.

If he brings up the rebuilt tranny, it means nothing. You never get what you put in a car, back out. It's called the cost of maintaining the vehicle.

no the 120 is a 95 this is a 98.

What turbo is on it? If everything is in good shape, runs perfect, and very clean I'd have no problem paying $11k for it ... even $12k if needed.

as long as the compression is good and it's clean pay up to 11,500 I'd say. Make sure everything works of course.

9-10k for it would be reasonble if it is running fine. your mods really never add terribly much to the price, unless you do something crazy like put a bushcur motor in it or something on that order

also you have to take in consideration he never says how many miles the 6 bolt has.

You'd be surprised how some people will raise the price by how many mods are on the car. Let's say some guy is selling his eclipse for a reasonable price but since he had just replaced the stock spoiler with a new one, *bam* the price goes up by 1 grand. A new intake, another grand and so on. Even the dealerships around here do that. It's so annoying.

i just paid 12 grand for my 98 gs-t spyder with 78,000 miles..... its in great shape for a used car.....it's suspension was jsut replaced..new struts and spring ..... it came with new 18" wheels and tires with some minor mods....kn intake, uicp 1st gen bov, mbc... did i pay to much?

Well actually No. That's about 3 grand more than I paid for my stock GS.
