What would cause my turbo to take a poop?

Just installed a ported 14b last friday and its right from the beginning my car has shown white smoke. Its only if it idles for a while or under full throttle. Im not 100% if its the turbo.

What are the reasons a turbo would go bad like that so fast?

White smoke is coolant. blueish grey is oil. If the turbo has play it can blow oil. If you have a blown headgasket the car will smoke white. do a compression test.

Chances are there is nothing wrong with the turbo. Check for shaft play and that it spins freely. White smoke is from water crossing over into the exhaust. Headgasket is the likely culprit.

You can easily check the turbo shaft play and whether it spins freely by removing your air filter and cold air intake so that you can see the fins on the compression side of the turbo. Stick your fingers in there and spin the fins and see if you can move the shaft back and forth for shaft play.

Did you source the oil supply to the filter housing? If so, there's your problem.

You can't take a used, probably high-mileage 14B which was fed from a low-pressure source (head) on a 1G all of it's life and install it on a 2G with a healthy oil pump then source the oil directly from the filter housing and expect it to not to blow oil past the seals.

Cup your hand over the exhaust then smell your hand,
if it smells like oil, bad turbo
if it smells sweet, burning coolant
if it smells like shit, you need better toilette paper.
