i just did a 6 bolt swap and my new mods are a b16g that's clipped, safcII, autometer boost gauge, waitin on hallman dual stage boost controller, k&n intake, hard licp, stock 2g bov cause im waiting on 1g bov flange that i just bought :D , and also waiting on the rc 550 injectors that i just bought :D , the head was rebuilt but i cant remember the specifics, spec stage 3 clutch with fidanza flywheel, walbro 190lph fuel pump and i think that's about it.

my question is, since i've been reading about everyone not being able to do 'something' until they upgraded their injectors. now since im getting upgraded injectors, what is that 'something' that i can do now? im still on the stock smic though. i think people get the injectors to raise the boost, but can someone clarify these things for me please.

You mod list was very close to mine when I made my 12.7 second run. With bigger injectors you can now use your AFC to tune your car and make more power. I was able to run 22 psi at the track on just 550cc injectors. The duty cycle was borderline maxed out but it never missed a beat. I would recommend a datalogger of sorts so you can visually see your knock and how much timing is being advanced/pulled. Gotta go to work I will reply more when I get there.

I have a similar setup (RC 550s, A'Pexi SAFC-II, etc.). I can smoothly run 20psi all day vs. stock injectors which wouldn't let me boost past 15-16PSI. With larger injectors+proper tuning you can run higher boost. I believe 550cc injectors flow ~20% more than stock. Get your car dynotuned-it's worth the money.

Youre going to need a biger intercooler to because youre going to heat soak the stocker. Plus youl be able to make more power with a cooler charge. :thumb:

:thumb: Tuning is your friend... Get a FMIC too... :rocks:

But honest feedback is if you are gonna upgrade injectors get bigger ones so you wont have to buy bigger later... and you can always tune to less fuel... Lets see you squeeze more fuel when you want to after you max out those 550s.

So what your saying is I can tune my car with 550's or even 650's, once I have the supporting mods of course, I can get fuel economy on the highway and get lots of power for elsewhere? I think this is accurate. Makes sense to me.
