Just did a boost leak test on my new rebuild and found a nipple (that wasn't connected to anything) under the throttle body elbow that was - you guessed it - leaking a buttload of air. duurrr my bad

What does this connect to? since the car was apart a few months ago I honestly don't remember. Car is a 93 GSX and I have aftermarket intake piping, couldn't tell you what kind.

Any help would be appreciated

Well darn, thanks for the quick reply. looks like I'll block it off then. Would've sworn it was hooked up to something before the rebuild though.

Edit - after looking at it looks like the previous owner tapped the fitting in. hmm... well everything else seems to hold air.

There is no nipple on the tb elbow..There is 4 on top of the TB..And there are some lines under the elbow..But you would think you only unhooked them from the TB..Marked them and hooked them back up..

It may have been hooked to something, but that's all custom work, so if someone put a nipple there for a reason, and hooked it to something, you probably better ask the person who did it in the first place.

That makes sense that it was custom. I completely redid the vacuum lines during the rebuild and made sure everything was connected back properly, I was just baffled that I may have forgot something and all vacuum diagrams obviously have nothing connected to the throttle body elbow LOL

I'll check through everything tonight again. Thanks guys for the info!
