What to do?

I keep getting the random missfire code. So I unplugged the tps and it runs fine, except for today. I was on the highway and the the car felt like it wasn't pulling and the bosst gauge would go to 15 and then slowly go to like five. Felling no power at spool up.

I got it home and did a booost leak test, all good there.
Should I put the Pot mod in the car to try to get rid of the RM issue?

2) Is there another problem like the ignitor going bad?

I have a 98 ecu, and running the geen top cas. Could this possibly be an issue?

Just really started diving the car alot after a few years. Even before I finsished the swap so really I dont think all the bugs have been found yet.

Check your 1g CAS wiring, people do a hack job on it and wonder why their car doesn't run right or run at all. It's very common to throw a "random mis-fire" CEL even with good wiring running a 1g CAS on a 2g and can only be corrected using ECMLink on the car.

It sounds like a CAS wiring issue and re-install the TPS, its there for a reason and all its doing is forcing the ECU to ignore the random misfire. By unplugging it though your ECU can't see what your idle switch is doing so it has no way of knowing if your off the throttle on decel or idle so you might start getting idle surge.

Well thats better than 99.9% of the majority who've made the swap to a 1g CAS and did the wiring themselves.

. Thanks. I made sure all my wires were soldered and heat shrinked when I did my swap. I ve seen some bad results with bad wirinng.

Ill post results if I find some bad wires somewhere.
