So last night dad and I were changing gaskets and we took off the headers and this is what we find....one of threads in the head are totally falling apart. I actually think the threads are fine but the head part in front of it totally fell apart as you can kind of see in this picture...
So after seeing this you can also see that the head gasket also needs replacing due to the oil seeping out as you can see from these pictures.
What are your thoughts? I wasn't really planning on doing any serious modding of the internal stuff but this might be an opportunity. I'm also not in a financial situation where I can spend $3000+ on modding this stuff. So here are the choices I was thinking of.
1. Just try to fix it?
2. Get a new/reconditioned head and just put on the new on?
3. Drop some cash and buy some stuff with tuning in mind?
Any feedback/ideas would be sweet!

, that would be the cheapest route, and on the other hand look at this as an opportunity, if you let it pass, you might not get around to doing it later, but it's all about your choice
